I love how you don't use a ton of gadgets and also teach fundamentals of cooking, I'm learning a lot. Gadgets in the kitchen are find, but when watching a video to learn how to make something, it's a better way to learn.

She explains it pretty much step by step, won't take you but a second to write it as you're watching. The only thing she didn't measure was the seasonings cuz she said she just eyeballs them, they can be whatever you want, but about 1table spoon for each dry seasonings is sufficient.

I did a test run on the roux. It turned out just right☺️ I might have to adjust to mid low setting since the low setting on my stove was still hot when I cooked the roux. A bit nervous since I’ll be doubling the recipe for a potluck😬
