I love seeing this being done with grocery bought ingredients. I often think I can’t/shouldn’t be making stuff like this unless I’m able to grow it all myself. A nice reminder of the freedom we need to allow ourselves.

my husband has been on the GAP diet before. it helped heal his gut from several rounds of anti-biotics. I still make meat stock every week, its a great way to start my day. Thanks for sharing!

I tried to make a turkey bone broth using my great thrift store find, a Nesco electric roaster. I failed miserably. I cooked it on 250 for 2 days and the dark rich looking broth tasted horrible. I will go back and just do the meat broth until you give a how too on bone broth. That looked so good! Glad to see you back, Natalie! 👍😊💞☕

In the early stage 1, do you not put cidar vinegar in the stock to extract minerals from the bones?

Yeah let me know what you think! I love this because then you can reuse the bones and you get a whole chicken out of the deal

Just tossing the veggies then or is there anything else you can do with them (if they even have flavor anymore)?

They can be eaten on GAPs diet but they are too mushy foe my taste

I let mine go for 12 hours/overnight yesterday! Would the chicken still be ok to eat or should I discard it? It’s my first time doing this. I was going for bone broth. I doubt I could use the bones agin. They probably gave all the good stuff out of them after cooking for so long.
@heyitsagoodlife3 жыл бұрын
Yay! So you officially have meat broth. Now you can absolutely eat the chicken and you can save the bones and make a batch of bone broth.

I really should start making broth because I find it hard to eat breakfast early in the mornings. Most of the times I start eating after 12 or some minutes to twelve 😒 and I know that's not good right? So maybe trying to drink some chicken broth is good. But anyway this looks delicious and it's easy to make. Thank you

That’s a great idea. Rich nutrients on an empty stomach. Great way to kickstart the day.

I usually stick my bones and everything in a Crock-Pot on low and I let it cool on low during the night and the next day I strain and have a gallon of broth.

Should work on your volume control. I have to turn up the volume all the way up just to hear you talk but turn it down when the music comes on.
