I don’t know how to explain it, but your way of speaking is really calming. You talk like an actual person and not like a cooking show robot. I found this video so helpful, not only because of the information but because of the way you delivered it. I would literally watch any show you had on television.

Cheers for this, I've been looking for "delicious instant pot recipes" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Penaniel Foremost Primacy - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to use great pot recipes to make a delicious meal without the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate got great success with it.

its kind of absurd this thing doesn't have some other message instead of "ON" when it starts.. its pretty screwed up you have to listen for a "click"... there is enough lights and buttons this should be simple. Not sure who designed this thing, he needs slapped up side the head. even a "warm" or something would be good. they don't want you to know it takes another 20 minutes to cook your "25" minute meal i guess...

I've used a pressure cooker since I was 19 (I'm 79 now) and was hesitant about the instapot. I've heard good and bad and most videos make it look complicated. Thanks to your extremely well done video instructions, I'm ready to buy one. I'll be watching and learning from your videos too. By the way, when I was 21, I started my pressure cooker, phone rang and I forgot about the pressure cooker. The safety valve blew. Peaches all over my ceiling, walls, etc. Although I've never forgot it again - i do learn - it's nice to know the instapot turns it's little self off.

How is it the best tutorial? She literally says forget the other functions and use it solely as a pressure cooker.. she is either lazy or too stupid to explore the other cooking methods this can do.. Hell i have a stove top pressure cooker and a crockpot.. i know they do similar things at drasticallly different times but it would be nice to demo the different functions of the machine..
@teresapierce9360 Жыл бұрын
Agreed, a great tutorial! I went to the InstaPot website and it doesn't even have product descriptions let alone product how-to's. I'll admit, I've never owned a crock pot/slow cooker or used a pressure cooker. I've always been afraid to try the latter (and still haven't made my mind up if I even need one). But this tutorial even helped me address that. Her description (after showing the photos of her friend's burned arm) of how to avoid steam burns gives me more confidence in how to keep it from blowing sky high! I also learned here that there is lots of steam, that I can't put it on my countertop with wood shelves above. Good point because it will have to set the pot on my stovetop (exhaust fan above).

After my roast is done I use scissors to cut it up in smaller pieces then add my flavoring like Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. Or my home made sauce. Great video...thanks.

Asian people make porridges, a lot. And fun fact, instant pot is invented by an Asian Canadian, Robert Wang.

What on earth is porridge and since there’s a porridge setting a how do you fix the porridge in the Insta pot?
@GWoification4 жыл бұрын
@@cynthialewis4313 I thought it was a grain food like oatmeal.

Right? Literally the entire reason I want to get an instant pot is because it's the best way to make porridge.

Thank you so much. I got one on the suggestion of a friend but didn't know how to use it - I'm not exactly kitchen friendly which is why my friend suggested it. She said I could cook fantastic bachelor meals simply and quick instead of eating out every night. You are the first person to explain and demonstrate how to use this thing where I feel competent to give it a go and that pulled pork looks delicious.

Who makes porridge?! Actually, Asians make it all the time! I’m guessing someone Japanese was involved in building the front panel for these pots and he/she argued that it was a “must-have” button. The English translation “porridge” has a post-WW2 England-on-food-rations sound to it, but if you call it, “Okayu”, it suddenly becomes hip and healthy. Not sure if there are any recipes out there for Okayu, but might be something to explore for a future show. My wife makes it with chicken stock whenever someone in the family is down with the flu and doesn’t have much appetite. It’s easy to eat and keep down, and I occasionally crave it when I’m trying to clean toxins out of my body.

I have always used a traditional pressure cooker and I have a mini lux model and hope it is useful for rice cooking. Thank you for cooking and teaching at the same time, I know it gets old repeating things but it's a must for new pressure cooker cooks.
