do you ever add daikon to this? thanks for the post!
@feedthepudge4 ай бұрын
@@ClassyJohn i personally do not, and have not seen daikon being added to it anywhere that i’ve eaten it - but if you do, lmk how it turns out!
@princeoftennnisfan233 ай бұрын
my family does occasionally add daikon to it because they like how much it absorbs the flavor (along with its own of course). but word of warning, if your batch lasts more than a few days via boiling (im sure freezing is fine? wouldnt know), then taste the daikon cause it might be too salty by the end, especially compared to a heartier and sweeter carrot

Alright fine, I'll go down and get a Banh Mi from the viet dude at the gas station deli and ask him if he makes this. Two videos in a row from you is def a sign.

Growing up, neither my family/actual aunties or even the local aunties made this dish, so I've never had it. Your inclusion of tendon (which I love, and is one of my musts for pho) is making me think I should have a go. Thanks for the recipe

Thanks! It's readily available at my Vietnamese grocery store (Lam's), but any butcher should have the shank cut too.

I also live in Washington. What grocery store do you go for your Vietnamese ingredients?

Lam's in the ID is my go-to. Hau Hau across the street is also great!
