I mean to be fair Rec Room does have to constantly pay for servers and employees and infastructure that they need income for. They also are providing you with basically a playerbase, multiplayer networking, creation tools, and a bunch of other stuff that makes it way easier to create and profit on RR than on a standalone game. It makes sense that they need some baseline of money coming in to pay that stuff off for the services you get in return

to clarify: the only way to directly make tokens off your game without keys or any sort of purchasables, is the monthly room rewards that give either 1.25M or 3.75M tokens depending on how many visits your room gets. and one room can only win the room rewards every 3 months. the winners are based off certain metrics that change every month but are usually based around playtime & revisits so and sure to make an engaging room!

i made a quest like room called ^CHEESE_CUBE with keys that can all be bought with 100 tokens but each time you beat it you get 2 for free but 1 is donate only sadly literaly nobody played the game and because of rec room's 6 gigabyte updates i cant use it on mobile anymore so i cant get rec room plus so i made absoluteley 0 tokens

nope. if a non rr+ creator earns tokens from a room, those tokens essentially are sent to the void and never get seen again. you can set it so that non rr+ creators get a 0% key cut in the earnings tab of the room settings
