I make the sauce but for me I don't like the sauce because is too salty. If u don't like too salty then reduce the fish sauce. That's just my opinion....thanks kay for showing us how to make it...

Lilly Vang I used 1 bottle of padek, can of shrimp paste, 1 bottle of fish sauce, 1 pack of tamarind, 2 cups of sugar. The sauce came out too salty for me. I added another 8 tablespoon of sugar to balance out the saltiness. Next time I’ll use half a bottle of fish sauce.
