5.0 Ghz means fifth generation and its alot faster than 2.4ghz but has shorter wave length so you need to put your phone close to other devices

If there's one thing that really helps drastically is to remember that you still have internet browsers on your phone most likely with tons of tabs open and closing all apps doesn't mean the tabs are closed in the background. You'll have to close them manually. Boosted my download speed from barely 5mbps to 50mbps i regret figuring this out just now....
