What I am Thankful of is finding this channel. It was by accident. I am American(Oregonian) and Latina. I have been missing my Mother’s cooking. Your channel has brought back memories for me. Bittersweet. I lost my Dad 7 years ago to Cancer and 2 years ago I lost my Mother. I just want to say thank you for being you. Just hearing your voice crack with emotions, reminds me to say Keep close to your Family. Take lots of pictures and videos of your parents. Even record them talking. Your cooking makes me feel like I am back with my parents. My dad loved it when Mom made her Mexican food for us kids. God gave them 50 years of being together before He called them Home. My husband and I have reached the halfway mark (25 years this coming up May. Married. 26 years together. Friends for 28 years). Since it’s been a hard year for me (losing my Grandmother 96 years old), losing a friend to Cancer and losing a spiritual son just two weeks ago.) What I want to part with is Love like there’s no tomorrow and forgive each other. Be at peace with yourself. Happy Holidays Ladies. May God continue blessing you ladies and your families.

If you’re someone who has never tried mole, it is the most DECADENT thing ever. Such a beautiful sauce, the heart of Puebla and Mexico as a whole ❤️ Please give it a try; it’s a nutty, chocolatey, spicy (not necessarily heat wise, just flavorful), rich sauce and I’m so thankful for this delicious, authentic recipe! Thank you Steph and Cloud for being a piece of home here on KZbin ❤️❤️

When I first tried it, it was at a restaurant on Sunset in Silverlake called "Alegria on Sunset." It was so good that I ate there, the same dish, every single day they were open for over 300 days straight before I missed a single meal. And ate there almost every single day for the duration of time that I lived in Silverlake. How I miss that place.

Yummmmmm 😋 🤤 Last night, I made mole first time for Christmas! We haven’t had it yet, but it tastes soooo good !!! I even forgot a few ingredients, but it was still amazing!!! I didn’t realize it was a paste to have to make some later, but I’m going to freeze. ☺️ I made it without bread 🍞 cuz I can’t have it. I even make tamales all by myself. Where my husband is from, the men all have the macho attitude, so I know my husband likes my food but he has never once expressed that he is impressed with me for learning all the foods he ate growing up. 😐 To him a woman cooking is just her duty. 🙄 So me being just being impressed with myself will have to do. I’m thankful that your love for cooking and showing your followers how to create delicious foods has allowed you to keep producing videos. Money and fame is not your motivator. Your motivators are clearly love for your family and wanting to help others. Food is not just nourishment it is love. Thanks for you to break down steps of food our ancestors have been cooking. Some of us don't have the mom to show us or did not get the break down, instead it was just do this do that and did not explain sometimes why we did what we did while cooking. I have forward your channel to my daughters to help them too. 🥰

I’m all late but I’m thankful for my hard working husband, because without him I wouldn’t be able to stay home with my 3 babies and raise them how it should be. I feel truly blessed. I’m also thankful for you both teaching this non-speaking Spanish chicana over here authentic recipes to feed my family and allow our culture to stay alive! Lots of love and blessings to you ladies ❤
