Thank you so much for creating this video. I really appreciated all of the advice from Christina Chavez, Latoya Lee and Bruce Wayne. I'm now learning how to supplement my songwriting (creating lyrics and melodies) with music production software. Part of me (a massive part) thought that if songwriting is my strength then team up with others who's strengths are my 'weaknesses ' ( vocals, production, mastering, etc). I'm in the Caribbean but chose ASCAP as my PRO after going to an expo a few years ago. My soul was crying out to be around other creatives. But there's a business side and other aspects of writing which my soul needs to tune into. Thank you all. Fuh real 🎶🎶🎶

so when registering a publisher, like many of the works that I am an author/composer on have numerous publishers listed. which publishers should i add to the 50% total? should i only add ASCAP related publishers? i ask, because, i went back to edit a few works, and my 50% share got divided up among each publisher i added equally... like, i would rather have 30% coming in from a major distribution publisher, and only 5% with a small international publisher... instead of having my share divided equally among them...does that make sense???
