I am 22, and starting up a business in Africa. I found this podcast on apple podcasts a few weeks ago. I instantly became hooked, listening everyday, everywhere, sometimes repeating an episode over and over. I started from the very first episode and I just now got to this current one. You are all i have been talking about lately but very few of my friends and family found your content as addictive and useful. Ive seen your podcast as a life manual honestly. But not for all. I feel like i know you and we are alike in so many ways, which i believe most of your audience feel. You have opened my eyes in ways i could not even explain. Thank you Steve. What a journey it has been for me! God bless you

Consistency is absolute key, being reliable, someone you can trust will turn up, exhausting but so true, before I found you I had another favorite content maker for years, who equally created life-changing impactful content but started posting more and more sporadically last year , and even though each episode was just as good as it always was, it felt like it was fizzling out and now when you talked about it I realised 'oh what happened' I had forgotten to see if there was new episodes for many months, there was indeed but I found I had stopped looking for it as there 'probably wouldnt be a new upload' You create a great beam of light in my life every week, thank you for all the hard work, it is fantastic!

I love this podcast. I find the guests fascinating and the host inspiring. I'm especially moved by the honesty of that wonderful two sentence introduction that comes spontaneously out of you during your first shot at doing a podcast. I appreciate your approach to teaching.. To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough, we just need to hold onto our hopes and wait to see how things turn out because market movements are almost always unpredictable. In my portfolio, I'm noticing more red than green.

People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.

I am a UK KZbinr but in the last year "for fun" started a podcast too and completely agree that actually the depth of value from a podcast is the one thing that most people will stop and talk to me/comment about. One of the major topics touched on in this episode is QUALITY! Some of the best corporations in the world with earnings over 20% or more consistently for a decade or longer have solid standards - and they stand by those standards without compromise. THIS type of razor sharp focus IS the future, and I’m always so amazed at how often organizations with such potential overlook this. As a graduate student of Human Resource Development, we are learning how genuine authenticity is what will make organizations successful, not necessarily focusing on HR Management. This is because, as this podcast mentions, people desire meaningful outputs for the work they’re doing. They want their work to matter and mean something beneficial for others. This entire podcast is spot on! This is an excellent example of creating value and meaning in the world. Thank you for highlighting such valuable information!

I have been listening to the DOAC via Spotify for a month and I'm up to this episode. Great role model for all ages. I feel your wisdom spans a broad range of ages groups and refreshingly, you don't come across like most people I used to see in the corporate world i.e. suited and booted, talks in business jargon etc. Its makes you far more relatable for the everyday person who may not be self employed. I fully believe you have and will continue to inspire hundreds of thousands of people into starting a business or even to purse what it is that interests them in life in terms of a job/career path. Congrats.

I stumbled across this video on accident as I am trying to learn how to create a podcast and blog regarding my passion - helping people overcome major life setbacks and building resiliency in a post-COVID world. I had never heard of your podcast or your channel - probably because I typically live under a rock. I admit, I expected this video to be click bait as I never really expected to make much money from either my blog or my podcast. But I clicked this video anyway in an afterthought out of curiosity and I am really, really glad I did. The stance that you take regarding authenticity and being intentional with your integrity is refreshing and precisely what I want for my blog/podcast. I've never been so inspired by a video I initially expected to be like all the other "get rich quick" videos. I doubt you will see this, considering this video is a year old. But if you do, know that you inspired one more person and gained one more to your list of subscribers. Not because of the title of your video, but because of the passion you have for what you do. Thank you for sharing!

This, together with consistency of production is what I find interesting. You know it will result in more effort and you have set yourself deadlines. This is something I struggle with as my deadlines are too tight, I try to keep my content about what has happened each week and my other socials then match up. Maybe more future planning. As a podcaster myself I agree that quality, consistency and passion must be present in order to succeed. The aim of a podcast to me is to give value to the audience, and when we fail that, no 4k shooting or famous guest will cut it, so, well done for deleting episodes that didn’t give that value. With respect, may I add that there is a difference between knocking on the door of a possible sponsor company as Mr Nobody, and being a Dragon’s Den business man who has high visibility and credibility. I shall keep watching your podcast!

So many interviewers nowadays interrupt or try to redirect the conversation to themselves when the focus is on the interviewee and their knowledge! Your team has really found a way to capture an audience with the guests. It is really unique that you also are the interviewer and interviewee of yourself on other occasions. I also enjoy the structure of your podcasts and the fact that it is broken down with labels so I can jump around need be.

The point about the impact resonated with me. A few years ago I had an urge to write a book. But I'm not a writer, so I just wrote a couple of short stories and published them online. And people read them and even liked them. But I knew nothing about those people, and had no way to get into conversation with them. That helped me realise that I didn't really want to write books, but I wanted to discuss certain topics with others, with people whom I don't know personally, but who might be interested in the same ideas. It's great that Steven managed to find the right tools to connect to the audience. We all benefit from it.

I 100% agree that podcast guests can become friends after such a special conversation. Being able to contact someone I find interesting and ask to have a conversation has been amazing. Podcasting has been the one of best thing I have done in the last 3-4 years. Some life long friends. Very, very blessed. Thanks for all you are doing and what you are bringing to the world. I'm not doing the income you are but it is a great idea to pull in authentic products to share. All the best. If you ever wish to be a podcast guest, I would be honored.

Wow, Steve! This video/podcast may have been the most impactful one in my life as I ponder the idea of starting a new video/podcast channel. Your presentation and the way you communicate is enlightening! All of the points provides a great strategy one can implement right away. I loved Point # 1 (consistency) and point # 5 ( why start/keep going) because without those I'll never reach the ultimate goal. Thank you again for sharing your insights and love for content makers. You have already made the world a better place brotha!

Hello Mr Bartlett, You mentioned people giving up 2 hours of time to listen to people they may not of heard of. I had heard of Russell Brand but never really liked him, but I was curious when I saw he was on your podcast. Because of you, really, I watched the conversation, and that changed my mind about him. He went through such a journey to get to the Russel Brand he is today, and he sure knows how to put amazing sentences together.

I discovered your KZbin channel a couple of months ago and I love it. The advice you share here is gold. I love your show because you are authentic, a powerful listener and interviewer and have great guests. I appreciate your commitment to quality and it shows, the show is super slick. Thank you for these fantastic tips and sharing your learnings. I also love how you cut out the middle man and you have married your passion/hobby with making a profit in a way that is authentic. I love your honesty. To be frank, your podcast is my number 1 go-to when I want to listen to deep genuine conversations. Thank you for sharing this because I don't believe in conforming. If it's not working for others doesn't mean it won't for me

This is all great, but the final section is superb. Something I also preach and something I have to tell myself if and when a video hits 'relatively' low numbers on my channel. Reach is empty. Depth is everything.

I do think that in the beginning it can make a lot of sense to have seasons in the case of an interview-based podcast to build social proof to then have an easier way to pitch the podcast going forward (and making it bi-weekly or weekly through that).

Hindsight is 20/20 you are number one and so you can shut down the naysayers. What if it didn't happen that way. Your also attractive and have a golden voice so that goes in your favor too. So there is more to this and you are a CEO so you have instant connections and power.

Like most entrepreneurs I'm so time poor juggling business, family and everything else yet every week I tune in. I love the honesty and openness, it's really such a pleasure to listen to. Great advice as always.

Appreciate your Authenticity. I have basically doing Tiktok and this inspired me to to push forward to going on making video with equipment purchased but I have yet to unload the passion contained within. Commitment made

Thank you, Steven! Excellent solo episode, with good insights. It would be nice to get regularly this kind of solo episode, to get to know you as a person even better - even though, here and there, you share something about yourself with the quests. Still, solo episodes could be a valuable thing to do. Your personal story is inspiring, and so is mindset.

I started listening to the Diary of a CEO after a friend recommended it to me back in September 2019, I listened to a few then stopped. Ep 52 then came out on KZbin (first video on this channel), and somehow came onto my recommended and watched straight away (intriguing/clickbait title). I've then watched and loved every single episode since. In fact, I loved them so much that I decided to listen to them all from the beginning a couple months ago on Apple Podcasts (currently on Ep 28). Then the book took everything to another level. Keep smashing it Steve, you've definitely changed my life & I hope I can repay the favour one day.
