I am a mexican 19 year old that plans on buying a rural hectare in a future (maybe around my 38 or 39 years of age). My family calls me crazy for wanting to live like that, and thinking "adobe" and earth building is the best. I plan on being a doctor so maybe will need to work in the city then live in a rural area (a calm area, not all Mexico is "narco territory"). Wishing you the best, sending you congrats from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua

I have been called crazy and worse. Never been happier.

I work from home. Electrical and internet and I can work my 9 to 5 anywhere... but my goal is to not have a schedule. I'm desperately trying to figure out how to do this youtube stuff, getting my viewing base and save up for land for me and my family. Currently in Tucson, born and raised and finally done with trying to live here in tge desert

I think being able to work remotely is a great start.

There's lots of way to earn some money. Good ideas and it 's nice to have the encouragement to give things a try and keep at it.

I would like to start a RESELLING business that helps small space/ urban gardeners. I dont think I would live OFF GRID because I feel called to serve my neighbors and community. I am grateful you shared your experience. We may not have the same goal, you still add value to the conversation.

Great video. I have been carving a few acres of my Viking Outpost out of the Mark Twain in southern Missouri for 4 years now and am about 90 percent complete with my infrastructure. Presently, I work a 9 to5 job but will soon be growing food primarily for my family and friends-who always want farm produce and products. I will offer primitive and RV camping, as well as the vegetables, fruit, and meat products. I will most likely do a farm share/membership club to help vet people that visit my remote property. Heck, I will most likely cook for local folks and invite them over once a month just for the fellowship. I am originally from Louisiana, so I know I can cook. Anyhow, I agree that there are so many opportunities to diversify income. Folks just need to get up off the couch and not make excuses. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers.

Been watching you for a bit, love your videos. We are not fully off grid, but definitely abide by some of the same principles. I am so sorry about the loss of your garden. Just out of curiosity, are you approaching building your home yet?

Love your channel. How long can a lithium battery last when used constantly?
