Different, influencer leverages their audience, a UGC creator doesn't need a large following.

GREAT Question! Influencers typically have an audience that they leverage in their cost of creation. Plus Influencers will be required to POST the content they create (more of the time). UGC Creators don't need any followers and don't have to post the content! They just create content and the brand gets the rights to use that content on the brands platforms. Sometimes they overlap. Like brands will still hire me to create UGC for them. Which means I create a video and give it to the brand to post (I don't have to post it). I explain the difference a little more in my other UGC 101 video too 😁😁

In your UGC bundle do you have a contract template to give to brands. I’ve heard that brands are typically the ones that send contracts but not all brands have them so it’s best to have one just in case??

It's always good to have your own just in case they don't, however you always want to go through theirs and what you're agreeing to.

Without usage rights a brand can't do anything with your content other than have it sit in storage somewhere. Usage rights are always mentioned in a contract, and will state what the brand intends to do with the content. It's up to the Creator to make sure you're reading the contract and getting paid correctly for those things! 😁😁

Hm. This video is super helpful, but it doesn’t feel like it really matches my KZbin channel approach. I’m getting the message that UGC is for content creators that would be filming to fulfill a specific topic from a brand, rather than someone who already has a set of planned videos for their channel… I don’t want to make content for someone else. I want to make content for me - but I wouldn’t mind a brand paying me to use their products for example. Does this sound more like a sponsorship approach rather than a UGC approach? For example, my niche is fermentation and more ‘traditional culinary’ practices. I’m most well known for how well I’ve mastered making yogurt. I don’t see UGC content fitting so well on my channel compared to a sponsorship.
