Paraphrasing: 'Your value is so much more than your follower count'. Exactly! This is why I think it's a good thing that there is no set standard across the board. Sure, it means the creator needs to do some work to understand what their value is and how to express that to brands with confidence. And of course there will be moments when you just need some income or experience where it makes sense to accept less than your value for a specific project. Each of us are bringing something unique to the table, so having a set standard could actually be damaging for creators as a whole, even though it would make things easier when starting out. I think this is a core problem with employment but that's another comment for another video. lol

Wow this is such an interesting take that I hadn’t even thought of before! Thank you so much for sharing and commenting, because you’re totally right. The cool thing about NOT having a set standard is the ability to accept less when need or just flexibility overall! Maybe the standard can simply be “creators being open to talk to each other about their rates” so that if there are other creators with similar follower counts, engagement and industry, there’s more equality! Something that I’ve noticed when coaching over the past few years is that rates aren’t always “fair” when it comes to race unfortunately, so hopefully we can bring awareness to that❤️

I have a question: if the contract says 3 months organic usage rights, does it mean the reel can be reposted in those 3 months or can literally only be on the web/ instagram for 3 months? It doesn't make sense that it would be taken off instagram after 3 months, right? Because nobody does that?
