How do you feel about someone brand new to the industry starting as a sub agent for someone they know? And working your way up? Also do you think the caribbean (cruises and AI) is too broad to start? Do I need a more specific niche to start out with? (Example: cruises or one specific island)

Hi Jessica! I would consider joining a host agency so you can get some form of training and from there if you would like to start your own travel business then you can do that! I would say that niche is fine to start with and you can always broaden your scope of practice as you go! If you haven't already, you can take our free masterclass to get started: www.careersonvacation.com/masterclass From there we would encourage you to apply for a discovery call with our team: www.careersonvacation.com/readynow Looking forward to learning about you and your business needs.

Hi. How do v maintain client loyalty in a very price sensative market
@wanderlustceo

Hi! Once you have your ideal client, make their experience amazing & memorable so they will be sure to come back to you for future trips. Some tips on that would be to: send a little gift before travels (luggage tag or something small), have a welcome gift waiting at their resort (champagne), follow up after their trip ensuring you are there if they need assistance for any other trips in the future, sending emails around holidays with Call to Actions.

How does plan to go fees help. V try this but clients don't come back

Your clients will have to pay your plan to book fee prior to you doing any research. Once it is paid, then you will start your research. That way, the client will stick around for the long haul rather than being a tire kicker & get you to do research for free. They are more likely to book the trip if they have already invested money into it. I hope that helps!

@@wanderlustceo thank you Cindy. Would this mean it's OK to let those ones who don't want to pay the planning fee go?

what do you recommend for fees?

Great question! When I am chatting with my students & they ask this question, I pose the question, "What do you think your time is worth?" It really depends on what kind of trip, how many clients, how much research you have to do etc.

Just for an example: One of my agents who specializes in Disney, charges $200 planning fee for a family of 4 for a 5-7 day Disney trip. I hope that helps! 🦋
