Some changes which I may suggest... 1. Use a gear bicycle, which has 3 input gears on the pedal side and 6 or 7 gears on the rear wheel side. 2. Now connect the driver Chain to the biggest gear (farthest from the centre of bicycle) out of those 3 pedal gears.. this will provide you power enough for an excellent pickup. Conclusion: you have a geared bike with either '12' or '14' gear shiftings or speeds. Some people will surely ask about the clutch but you don't need it because the gear set on the rear wheel is a sprocket type of gear which will automatically help in adjustments. For even higher speeds than 40 , attach the drive chain of the engine to the smallest pedal gear. This will be enough to take your to 50-60kmph..

Seriously? This just shows how little knowledge these people have to 'heart' something so reckless. Let me break this down; So your idea is to directly couple an ENGINE to your pedals... An engine you quote at propelling a rider above 40. Now keep in mind while yes, the rear cassette has a freewheel(aka a ratcheting mechanism) the pedals do not(that's the whole reason the rear wheel does), nor do the chainrings attached to them. So, what's wrong with that? Well, considering even at the best circumstances I can guarantee you the pedals would be turning at a speed you likely cannot even sprint, much less maintain, that means 90% of the time you're riding the bike you'll need to have your legs up in the air while the pedals flail madly, just praying to every God imaginable that you don't get tired and drop your leg too low into the path of the pedals. It makes no difference that the rear wheel can spin freely when you're no longer driving the rear wheel... Even ignoring this glaring oversight you would still need a rare left drive bike(normally the engine's drive train is *opposite* the chainring - and for good reason), or you'd have to flip the engine backwards, which really just wouldn't work at all because A) its not designed to mount that way, B) the pedals and your leg would be hitting the exhaust every stroke, and C) without modifying the engine it would just run in what would now be reverse, adding absolutely no benefit whatsoever. I'm sorry but these are ridiculously dangerous and silly suggestions that no one should attempt, much less encourage, especially for the minimal gains(if even) that you'd see. You'd be better off just buying a different sprocket set, spending $3 on a better spark plug, or getting a proper shift kit or making one if you really want to go that route.
