Although I do not have the Cricut Mug Press, I do have an 8-in-1 heat press but have not utilized the mug press part yet. I can't find one (a core) that fits the roll of Cricut heat resistant tape, since it's 1.25" in the middle, instead of the standard 1". Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! No, because I ensured my hands were dry and oil free so the ink was not disturbed at all.

My pieces never cut through, I have the pressure up to 300. I am using a new blade and mat. I have only made 2 mugs and neither of them weeded nicely. Do you have any recommendations for correcting this issue?

Fantastic!!! I wonder what would happen layered an object cut from a different color of infusible paper on top of a design where the infusible ink had not been cut out. So you would end up with some parts having two layers. This would happen when you are adding an additional objects, like trees that are partially on the object. When I sliced it, the top of the trees did not slice out of the mountain so you cannot see the trees and if I layered them, I could make the trees different shades of green which would show up on the mountain.

You only want to place Infusible Ink onto the sticky liner and not on top of another piece of Infusible Ink because it would not achieve an even press. Everything will want to be on an even level before pressing, if that makes sense.

On the strips, you know how long the blue template is why did you just make each strip Dimension that length instead of doing all that slicing?

Changing the width only would have resulted in a distorted image and the bunny would have changed shape in an unflattering way, which is why I didn't just change the length.

Bethany, I just re-watched this video and decided that floral cross is just too beautiful to not try. I'll be using the navy and mint distressed watercolors, and I made one addition to the design: I sliced HE IS RISEN from the vertical piece of the inner cross and JESUS from the horizontal piece . I'm still intimidated by all that delicate weeding, so I plan to try this at t-shirt size first! Thank you for helping me to stretch out of my comfort zone and see new creative possibilities. 💕

Love these mugs, especially the cross, the colors look great together! I wish cricut would catch up in the way of tools in design space. Silhouette Cameo has a knife tool where you just cut that excess off for the bunny mug in one drag of the mouse!!

You don’t use transfer tape for the Infusible ink, the transfer is already built into the product. Be sure to rewatch this video or any of my mug press videos to see the process, and there is a list of materials in the description box below each video. Hope this helps!

I just watched another Video that showed where you had to cover the cup with paper before putting it in the press. It was so the transfer didn't come off to the sides of the press. You're doing it without the paper. Even though the other person read the directions/showed to the viewers. Now I'm confused? Is this necessarily or preferable?

3 layers of butcher paper are used to cover the mug when using Infusible Ink pens. I used Infusible ink transfer sheets and not the pens in my tutorial, therefore I didn’t need butcher paper.

It is an SVG, so you can't ungroup it like you would a text. :) Glad this was helpful!

I haven’t tried using butcher paper with the transfer sheets, and I’m not sure how they would affect the final result. The only flaw I noticed were the lines transferring from the actual sheet, but I don’t believe I noticed anything from the scorch marks for the mugs in this video. :)

I only weed Infusible ink with my hands, as not to scratch the ink but use weeding tools for all other materials. :) the butcher paper is only for sublimation prints or Infusible ink pens, not for the Infusible ink sheets.

I was totally surprised on how to do the color sync with the letters for your last mug. Somehow I must have missed your video on doing this with vinyl. I also love your idea on the template. Oh, no! I bought several rolls of the full size infusible ink because it was on sale. But, it's not a bargain if it is going to ruin my project by transferring grid lines to my mug. I notice small details and would be disappointed each time I used my mug. Thank you for being so thorough and honest. I have watched many videos on the mug press and yours is the first that has mentioned that the grid lines transferred. Another video even mentioned that she preferred the transfer tape with the grid lines because it was easier to make sure her designs were straight on her mug. :( It is odd that it showed on the one design, but not on either of the other two.
