As with all things, Jessica, the mug press is not meant for everyone! I don't work for Cricut, so don't know for sure, but assume it's target audience may be people who either don't have room for a large heat press, or just don't want to mess around with one! To each their own! 🥰

Hi there, do you mean what can you sublimate in the Cricut Mug Press? You can use preprinted sheets, or infusible ink. What you're pressing doesn't have to come off of a Cricut machine.

Can you only use a mug with a handle? I’m thinking a handleless sublimation mug. Also what diameter will this work with? Thanks.

Your mug must have a poly coating and straight walls. It is important to look for sublimation (polycoated) mugs. Other mugs will not work. Your mug can range from 11oz. - 16oz. I don't think you need a handle (I haven't tried it, so can't tell you for sure!), but you will need a way to safely remove the mug from the mug press - it gets REALLY hot and you don't want to remove it with your bare hands! 🥰

You don't need them but I designed it so you can stick it on better and be a barrier to the heat resistant tape to avoid any discoloration. 💜

I was so excited to do my first mug per your instructions... sadly, I clicked on "more" pressure as you suggested and it cut entirely through all the layers. Wasted an entire sheet of infusible ink (the only one I had in the color I needed). :( I wish there were a way to do a "test cut" without wasting product.

Click on shape and choose one, size it down and do a test cut. I have the mug wraps to intentionally cut through the outside layer to make it easier to wrap the mug.

Oh it’s amazing. I would have to start all over again. To even enjoy this item. I say this because three years ago I gave my large cricket away to my youngest daughters school / teacher. Because of my illness I want well enough to use mine anymore. This teacher was cutting out everything by hand. I felt it in my best to give it to her. I had over 25 carriages and all this stuff with my cricket but I wasn’t using it. I’m sad that I did give it away but I know I did the best thing. This teacher cried when we gave it to her and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Who knows god works in amazing ways maybe I’ll be able to start all over one day. Ali I’m still vary sick and am bedridden now. So if you ever have any thing that can go help a teacher please think of them they do so much for our kids god bless you all

Hi Jennifer, my machine is cutting the infusible ink sheet too deep. I changed the blade to fine tip and reduced pressure to 70 (for infusible ink) but it still cuts through and through ... I am looking to only have the text in infusible ink but I seem to have alphabets everywhere except where I need it ..Any suggestions tips.. Thanks :)

Hey so I just got the mug press for my birthday this week. Trying to make my first mug and every time I go to make it. It says iOS doesn’t support curved text. I’m so frustrated and sad today. Not understanding what I’m doing wrong.

If you are using iOS devices, you have to do the curved text manually. Click on the text, click Actions, click Advanced then click Ungroup to Letters. That allows you to move each letter individually to "curve" it. You can click on Shapes and use a circle to move the letters around the edge of the circle to make it look nice then delete the circle. 💕

14:09 HELP! Please 🙏🏻 after welding the text then slicing, I lose the top and bottom (straight) line. I tried to cut without it on card stock as a text and it’s awful. How do I not lose the top and bottom line?

For the initial set-up of the Cricut Mug Press, you will need to have a computer or laptop. If you don’t have one of your own, just use a friend or family member’s to setup your Cricut Mug Press through Cricut Design Space. After that is done, you can use an iPhone, iPad, or Android device to design great new mugs and you do NOT need to plug your Cricut Mug Press into your computer again (aside from any future firmware updates necessary).

I designed the mug wraps to cut all the way through on the outside. It should not cut all the way through on the inside. Check your cutting setting.

Hi Tammi. You would need to use the design program Sure Cuts A Lot as your current machine does not have a supported design software from Cricut.
