When I had this problem, I had to set the ASIO driver in the Audio/Midi program settings tab. I selected "Magix Low Latency" option from the dropdown box under the ASIO driver button, then clicked the Advanced button near the top of the Audio Playback section to select my output device. If the device is in use by other programs, it may not be selectable. I don't know if you required this anymore, but I hope this helps all those also having this issue.

if you want good audio quality with a piano alone Music Maker is not the one. I downloaded it thinking: This is good, it's working with MIDI and everything. So I record my first song on the piano and export it. And what do you know! every single break in between the keys there's a beep like you accidentally pressed the wrong key. Which really messes up the sound quality so much

Your audio interface might be set so music maker takes control of it. So no other audio will be able to play while music make is open. You can go into your windows sound settings and in the additional device properties. Go to the advanced tab and make sure “allow applications to take exclusive control of this device” is unchecked.

But I kept getting an error msg saying in order to activate the "more tracks... something" feature, I need to go to the store. But it won't let me activate the store without a serial #. You can’t only have 8 tracks in Magix music maker free but you can load an mp3 into one of the 8 tracks.

Basically when I plug my earbuds into my speakers, you can hear the software without the earbuds (however I can privately hear stuff online) When I plug my earbuds into my computer, you can hear anything online without the earbuds (however I can privately hear stuff offline). In MAGIX Music Maker you need to set the input to whatever input you are using. You may want to use the Magix Asio driver as the input and then go into the control panel for it and set up your input and output.

May I ask where you got the FL Studio Asio driver? The low latency driver provided by Magix doesn't cut it.

The FL Studio driver comes with FL Studio. I only use it when I'm making my videos as it allows me to record what I'm doing in my DAW with my screen capture software. If you're audio interface has an asio driver it would be best to use that as the Magix driver and the FL Studio driver are both emulated drivers so they wont give you the best latency. Another option would be to get ASIO4All, it's an emulated driver too but seems to work alright.

Hello, tks for your video! I'm having a few issues with the free version, like, even if I do this: Step 1: go into Audio/MIDI in the settings Step 2: Enable WASAPI Driver Step 3: Select your speakers or headphones The sound won't work; Also, when I go to set up and click on "Audio/ MIDI", I don't see the options you have in "ASIO driver", I actually only have one option, witch is "Magix Low Latency 2016"; same happens above, at the top on "Audio Playback" section. And at the right, where I was supposed to select "Keystation mini 32 MK3" at "Input device", there is no option at all, it's blank. So I did try a few alternatives to make it work, but no sound comes out of it. Can you help me?

Hey there! I'm a beginner with this software. I have a technical issue. I have installed the Magic Maker software, i do not have a MIDI keyboard. It is necessary to have a MIDI keyboard or you can work with a normal keyboard? Also at Settings option, shown like in your video > AUDIO/Midi section > i have in the left side the ASIO Driver by default selected, but in the right upper side i have nothing at input device, it's in grey highlighted like you can't nothing select to. I have also to tell you that i do not have output device for audio, like speakers or any other audio device, i just used it on my smart tv ( but the smart has his own audio speaker, it should work right?). You actually can if you figure out where your soundpools are stored. As for instruments I'm not sure. You'll have to open file location of the application then if the plugin is a .DLL file you can import it to other DAWs.

Magix has been around for years and make several different media programs. If they put a virus in their products they wouldn’t still exist. So no they do t put viruses in their products but if you don’t feel safe downloading anything avoid it.

You can load the actual music maker project files in Samplitude. What you might want to do is render each track to audio then load those stems into Samplitude. If you render the track from start to end of song they will all line up the correct way when you put them together in Samplitude.

You know, Im using Magix Music Maker now for a long time. But, I have that alltime problem, that it always crashes when he want and when Im using tools like Vita, or any other Instruments for edditing. Do you know any tricks or any information, how I can stable that programm on my PC.. im like losing so much time on recording sometimes that it gets me demotivated more and more to do music... Have you updated the core program to the latest version? They just updated it to 64 bit. This should really help with reducing crashes.

@@AudioTechTV Thank you for your answer. :) Today I bought the Magix Music Maker 2021 Version by online Download/Key. Do I also have to download a patch manually? On the Desktop Icon is written (64 bit) and when I started the programm the first time it also asked me to update on the latest version. Still it crashes when I edit music ... my guess is, Windows makes the problems... also, if I put the buffer size up on my audio interface sometimes I get bluescreens... everything is super frustrating right now...

Are you using an Asio audio interface? If so do you have Magix setup to use the Asio driver? I haven’t experienced any crashes so I’m not really sure what the issue is on your computer.

Simple Green Tech I use Serato Studio and i am beginning to get used to Ableton Live. I only started using Ableton Live a few daya back and i am shocked at how easy it is despite it not listed as one of the easiest DAWs.

Simple Green Tech It's really simple and neat. I have decided to make It my main DAW. It's still strange to me how i found it easy to use when everyone agrees that FL Studio is the easiest of all the top DAW. The first time i downloaded FL Studio trial, i didnt spend up to 10minutes before i uninstalled it

I can't export as Mp3 but only wave/ADPCM Or Ogg or windows media audio ...what are the consequences ?

Wav will make the files larger but better quality. Windows media audio is similar to mp3. No real consequence. Except larger file with Wav.

Step 1..I do exactly as you showed, it records guitar but no amp sound & it does not playback what I recorded.

If you’re using the amp sim plugin, it won’t record the sound of the amp. Just the raw guitar. But when you play it back you should hear the amp sim. This allows you to change the settings after you record. I’m not sure why it won’t play back though. It must be an audio device setting. If you’re using an Asio audio interface maybe adjust the buffer settings in the Asio control panel.

Ok, now I can hear the guitar play back when I change "audio rec" to record. Except it's shifting what I play. Say I come in after 8 clicks, it does not start there.

You can use your own audio but it also comes with soundbanks which are collections of loops so you don’t need to add your own audio.

If MAGIX Music Maker is open you can't hear any other sound in the system for some reason I figured that out today

Music Maker software overrides your PC Audio. Shut the application down, then your sound will work.
