Whenever you are preparing your garlic... Always smash that garlic with your knife before chopping it because it releases the oils out of it which is where your flavor comes from... If you don't give it a good smash the oils won't release and you will not get much flavor from it...but by giving it a good smash before chopping the essential oils come out and you will notice a huge amount of garlic flavor.... Just a suggestion to you... I love watching your videos I have a great time every time that I watch one

@@CharlieTheCookAndrews Yes, I tried to do the rinse at the end, because I be walking around not listening to the who presentation some times. But it still did not come out where it wont stick together after a while. But when you said salt at the beginning, I was waiting to hear you say add oil too and you did not say it. My daughter looked at me like, should we try that? It might stick together with no oil. I said, well it sticks together now, just not in the pot as we stir, but when it dries we have to eat it fast and the leftover sticks and brakes up as we pull it apart to use it. She was amazed because after she got the spaghetti to melt to where the sticks were not out of the pot, because kids dont want them broken, lol, she did not have to stand there and keep stirring it to make sure they dont stick together while they're cook. Than when we woke the next day and she wanted leftovers, the spaghetti still did not stick together. Man, if my grandmother and mom were not in heaven now, I would do another challenge meal on them both using spaghetti. lol You know the usual meal is B-B-Q ribs and potato salad. My grandmother won the cook off so you know that is not good for my husband to choose her meal only a week after we were married in 1990. All the men of the family were happy, and you know the women were happy I lost, just like they did. The men were happy because grandma always bring out a new dish she never taught us for the men to eat. I was like, why she had her new meal already cooked? How did she know he would pick hers? My mom said, the secret is to teach the base way to cook a meal but add in one extra spice that we know the man is not used to tasting. She said, do you remember how I taught you to cook read beans? I said. yes. She said, after the beans are done cooking, take an extra hand full one of the seasonings you chopped and add it to the pot, stir it in and serve. Use a different one each time so the meal never taste the same. You know how you see chefs add fresh parsley, or fresh green onion on top the meal when they serve it to make it look like a pro cooked it? I said, yes. That is the one thing that makes the meal, never taste the same every time so you never get tired of eating the same thing. She said, we add it to the pot so our husbands dont know that secrete to share with other women, talking about any woman could do that. That is why you never see any of us get divorced in this family. I have been married 30 years now, so she was telling the truth. lol Oh and that new meal my grandma taught us was a whole fish, sliced in the middle and stuffed with a shrimp stuffing and red gravy. It was sooo good. I was happy he chose her meal also, but when we got home, I did not speak to him for two days. lol

I love to go home and get the combination YakaMein. Chicken Beef Shrimp. My mama raised me on stew meat for YakaMein. In High school a friend of mines mama used cut pork chops. Either way it’s so good.

Warren Happy that it brings back memories. What is up with this ketchup? What's the purpose of it exactly so I can understand? Never heard of it being added unless it's a personal preference or something.

That's the way the Chinese restaurants sold it. I think it gives it that extra kick. I'm from Baltimore.
