Watching a dozen Jacki Chan movies definitely qualifies you as a master weapons maker! We love how you got your son involved and also taught him proper safety tips such as wearing masks. So you’re saying my dreams of being a rock star are never going to happen? That hurts, hurts deep. But at least I know all those years of watching cheesy Kung Fu movies have finally paid off. How much did you spend on parts

Preston Gerimonte I don’t remember the exact cost at this point, this was a while ago, but I think about around $20 or so

Preston Gerimonte no problem. As far as breaking, no they’re holding in there. My son doesn’t use that very much though, think he’s a little scared of them after accidentally wacking his knuckles with them.

Preston Gerimonte I think it was just the wood handle actually. Still hurt either way. Previous he had a set of foam padded basically toy nunchucks, and it didn’t matter if he cracked his knuckles or forehead with them. This was more of just a fun father son type project anyway rather than trying to make authentic, or properly balanced nunchucks. If you knew how nunchucks are actually designed, which I really don’t, you could probably experiment with different hardware, and tweak my basic design and come up with a really decent set of nunchucks.
