It’s a technique editors do to make you watch the video again. That slight detail in the edit probably got the video 20x more views. People rewatch because they missed the final product raising the viewer attention statistics over %200 for that one viewer. In return the video is going to be boasted in the algorithm. Everything is done in a specific way for a reason…

@Andrew-dw4kb
@Andrew-dw4kb Жыл бұрын
@@mattschatz4864 you don’t normally “retouch” concrete. If you mean slippery when wet, that’s a texture problem… You have two options here. Add something with texture, or texturize the concrete. I NEVER recommend doing such a thin concrete floating for a drive of any kind. So that leaves you with adding grit to a epoxy or paint to add grip. (Don’t recommend most paints, but they will be much cheaper…) The second option might be to add texture by removing concrete in a reasonably aggressive fashion. Options might be sand blasting with granite or certain slag. Maybe a grinder? (Don’t like this one) In the end all these are just hokey ideas that could work, but are not industry standard. If I was pitching a customer on this, I would pitch two ideas. 1 repave. You tear out the old and put down 5-8” of fresh concrete with a good life span. Or 2: apply asphalt. 2-4” would be plenty. It’s cheaper and can work really well. I have to assume if this is concrete it is either really old, sees a ton of traffic, or it was very poorly done and with the wrong mix. But idk without seeing it. If your sold on this floating idea, get ardex. It’s a brand. Top of the line. Best bang for buck no questions asked.

It really depends on the overlay, some products need bare dry substrate, others moist and some a chemical liquid in place of water and or bonding agent. The best I've used was a three to five part system depending on color and finish and could potentialy cost the customer almost as much as the concrete did in the first place. Either way if you don't follow the manufacturers instructions word for word and step by step your doomed before you even start. Also if it's not expensive it's gonna look like shit and probably won't last, in my experience at least.
