The Weavers of Eternity Paracord Tutorials could I use something like a pencil to make the 'handles' thicker? Also I found this video very helpful.😊
@TheWeaversofEternity6 жыл бұрын
You could definitely do that. You might want to put some superglue on the end of it though as the snake knots could slip off.

How long should mu strands be
@waltdistel7165 жыл бұрын
For anyone interested I made these with no nails or super glue and it still works and plays great! Just cinch the knots as tight as you can and the rods should be stiff enough. Instead of superglue just melt the end of your middle strand and stick it in the middle of one of the knots and build up around it. I personally prefer the lighter weight :)
@HeyHrach Жыл бұрын
I was just about to say this. I made some with superglue, even tying the rest of knots around it while wet to enforce the hold and it simply didn't hold. So I'm going to just use a piece of paracord running through the middle but attached to the base of the handles.
@Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol11 ай бұрын
Just made mine without the nail nor glue by running the connection piece all the way trough both handles and tying them at the ends. Works like a charm and is more than sturdy enough for me even without the nail.

I just made these using OD green and black paracord. I had so much fun making this that I might get back into making things with paracord. Good video and very easy to follow.

Great tutorial. I made a couple changes. I encased the nails in the cord and used bbs to fill the gutted Paracord for the " chain.".

First of all, thank you for all the links in your description. There's a lot of useful links there. Second, what a fun build. Thank you. I'm new to the parachord craft world and really enjoyed making this. Unfortunately, my scrap was completely gutted so I get a lot of twist. I'm looking forward to making one with a non gutted scrap.

This looks like a lot of fun! Great video. I would probably use waxed sailors thread to whip the connecting cord to the roughened nail ends in addition to the super glue. I just like the extra security that that would provide.

Question : I use Heat shrink tubing often, is this a better option possibly to put over the paracord and nail then the glue were you connect the nunchucks together ? Great project !

Great turorial, so imade these 'nunchaku' , i did everything the same as you explained but mine enden up being really boxy and without pattern , instead of round and spiralled. Have you got any idea how that is or how to make it.
@TheWeaversofEternity6 жыл бұрын
If they ended up boxy, it's because tied the "box knot" or "square knot". It's an easy mistake to make, just rewatch the tut and make sure that you're crossing the cords over in the right way. Using two colors will make it clearer.
@imbetterthanyou99716 жыл бұрын
Not sure if he said it in the video, I kind of just skipped ahead to some parts, but if he didn't you don't need a nail, (I didn't have one) and instead of gluing it you can just burn the paracord in the middle onto the two nunchukcs.

@jonathandavis33396 жыл бұрын
I made mine a bit differently and didn't need super glue, I also didn't need to cut the head of the nail off, I used heavy duty nails that weigh about .5 oz. each, mine turned out to be about 5 inches long each, which I like, and they are quite heavy which is good for a non threatening "balisong" if I want to take them places, great idea, thank you.

The nail gives the nunchucks weight, otherwise they will be too light to do tricks with.
