You had made a guiatr video on Amber by steve Lacy, and I've been trying to find the solo for a while so do you think you can cover it?

whats your thoughts on interval traing? did you do that as well?

@@ProdaJay2 interval training by itself it not the whole picture. It’s not a bad skill to be able to recognize a perfect fourth of a major third for example, but it’s far more valuable to be able to recognize exactly where those intervals lie in the tonal octave. You might hear a major third but is it 1 to 3, 4 to 6? b6 to 1? I used an app called functional ear training that was helpful to recognize intervals in a tonal context. Set it to solfège la based minor

Numbers? It's all numbers? It's all math? Whatever happened to a melody being an enjoyable grouping of notes? So chuck any enjoyment and embrace math? I'm just not following this.

@@relicofgold not really about math. The numbers are just the names. Letter names are confusing because they change with each key. The numbers as names help us to really see and develop a relationship with the identity and personality of each note within our tonal octave.

@@jojotheworld I trust what you're saying. I just don't understand "The numbers as names helps us to really see and develop a relationship with the identity and personality of each not within our tonal octave." I think I need to get lessons to fully understand this.
