I love your videos Tatyana. I have one QUESTION: In this recipe, is the sugar quantity you mention for the purpose of TASTE or TEXTURE ? I am asking this question because the group I am making this recipe for like to have it less sugary and I am afraid to lessen the sugar and jeopardize the density. Thanks for your feedback.
@TatyanasEverydayFood Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you so much for watching my videos. I personally do not like frosting that's overly sweet so I always add the minimum required for texture. If you don't add enough powdered sugar, the buttercream will stay flat. I like to use salted roasted pistachios for the paste. It helps balance out the sweetness. This is one of my favorite frostings!! :) Hope you love it, too! :)

I don't understand whooping the butter for a long time. Wouldn't that cause runny butter? Most BC recipes say to whip for a minute. I figured that was to avoid runny BC.
@TatyanasEverydayFood Жыл бұрын
1 minute is definitely not enough. No, whipping the butter for longer will not make it runny. The butter should be just barely soft to touch starting out. If it's too soft and melted, place it back into the refrigerator. The key to really great buttercream is whipping the butter until it's super fluffy, then adding the remaining ingredients. Hope that helps!

Does buttercream always take to buttery like whatever flavour you add it still tastes like whipped butter and greasy does anyone know if I am doing anything wrong
@TatyanasEverydayFood2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you whisk the butter on its own before adding anything else. It should be fluffy and white in color first. I think that makes the most difference! Also, make sure to use a good quality, unsalted butter.
