Canes started on LSU campus. We've got ton of them here in Baton Rouge. I used to work at one. The secret ingredient for the chicken is marinating in MSG water over night The secret to the toast is to only cook one side. Whichever side is the flattest when you break it off the loaf. The butter they use is just butter and a ton of garlic salt (never use the last 25% of the container or you'll be overloaded with salt)

Ive never tried it, and it won’t give you the exact same result as I had. But I’m sure that would work if you spray with oil! You could also use an air fryer if you have one of those 🌱
