Something about this helps decompress the over saturation of information I have been recieving recently. Too much processing and too much trying to over complicate things that don't need to be. Thanks Goose!

Steffen, I don't understand what you mean by "The tighter you are the loser your preflop ranges should be" What do you mean by loser? It would make sense to me if you said "The stronger you are, the looser your preflop ranges should be" because you are better at post flop play. However, you said something very different than that. By the way, thanks for this video. I love your content and have learned a lot from you!

I got a question for you..when i played a bunch vs wizard i found out that its using 10% sizings quite a bit in 4bet pots. As you said small sizings make it harder for villain to react and the game trees are smaller in 4bps. Ive never seen you using tiny sizings despite watching all your fantastic videos. Do you agree that it makes sense to implement that strategy and do you also use it or do you still think it makes the game tree 2 big?

I actually use that sizing quite a lot in 4BPs and sometimes in 3BPs. It is dangerous though to just believe in the solver, because some I've seen of the typical study-tools just didnt allow enough different raisesizes. So the solver takes the 10% to cutdown villains options and not because it id the prefered sizing. Using it on some mono boards and AKx type board is definetely recommende

That analogy with Madrid and Gernsbach doesn't make sense as everybody knows that Gernsbach would be Champions League Winner if they put Steffen in the starting lineup ;-)

The solver has problems. It's a mathematical exercise generated by a computer. In a perfect world it will play perfectly. However, it does not mean that it would not lose to another solver in the short run. And it doesn't mean that the other solver I'll beat it. I'm assuming identical solvers. The problem still is the run of the cards. That's an unpredictable element. Secondly, you're dealing with unpredictable opponents. Thirdly, you can't see their cards. So you have don't really know what they have. Fourth, a mistake isn't necessarily bad. You could draw out and win. Fifth, the solver solve for an incredible number of hands. You won't be in that same situation with the same number of players with the same chips stack and position. Sixth, your bet sizing can determine future play. More chips you have, the more options you've got. 7th, you don't always get to play against one person at the showdown. Solvers work best against one person. Eight, volume is the key. For the solver really to help you you have to be turning a tremendous volume of hands. Playing a few times a week won't do that. Working with solvers will make you a better player. But they aren't the Holy Grail when it comes to sitting down with real people. You can be one of the greatest players in the world and bust out on day one of the World series. That happens every single year. Look at the high-powered names that lost in round one this year. The solvers mathematical analysis is fine. But their other real world considerations. But ultimately, just play sound poker. That's all you can do. Win or lose.
