The video that the custom paint companies don't want you to see, no just kidding it's not an infomercial but in this video I will show you guys an alternative to standard candy paints. A cheaper alternative which can still achieve some pretty cool colours, this is part 1 of a 4 part series and we'll be focusing on mixing and spraying.

Years ago I used to spray Vespas when they were cool again in the 80's . Professional bought candies always just used base coat and tinted lacquer. So I made my own and no one noticed the difference. But as you mentioned.. you must start mid pattern and always count the coats you apply to all parts or one will be darker. Great show by the way from an old fart.

In 1978 I mixed blues and yellows to make a special metalflake green, with extra for any future touchups. I spent enough time polishing the 1972 Barracuda hood that I could see a very clear reflection of the road. I sold it in 1980 to buy a Yamaha XS-650, a more reliable copy of a Triumph Bonneville to ride 6 months, and driving an old rusty smallblock Chevy V8 the colder 6 months, for the next 5 years.

I also purchased a mobile car spray booth but, its getting cold and I want to paint some sh*t. What can I do to allow me to paint outside in my new paint booth. Let me ask you a question since your the gunman,i am using a 1.3 Sata 5000b HVLP to paint and to clear but i know that the HVLP is good for the base coat and the RP is good for the clearcoat.Now my question is i want to buy the Sata 5000b RP for the clear but what if instate of buying the SATA 5000b RP i just buy the Sata 1.3 RP nozzle set and when i finish to shoot the basecoat than i take off the 1.3 HVLP nozzle set and put on the 1.3 RP nozzle set in the Sata 5000b HVLP ,will it transforme my SATA 5000b HVLP to a SATA 5000b RP instate of buying the Sata 5000b RP

We have a lechler candy system with ink tinters, very strong and bright colours. But I'm not a fan of these basecoat candys. The whole point of candys in my opinion is the extra build of colour around the edges, just like a candy apple.

It's good stuff but not sure about the 50psi thing, its totally unnecessary as it sprays fine at the standard 29psi.

Brian Cain Yeah I know, I watched his video where he outlined his recommended gun setup and he made the fan very narrow to compensate for the pressure but all that does is make it so you have to hold the gun so far back to get a decent size fan at the panel plus I couldn't see a thing for all the overspray. but that aside I can't fault the clear.
