I've never met Gennaro, but I've been watching him for I don't know how many years and I just don't think it's possible to fake his personality. The man seems to genuinely love cooking and teaching others to do so. If he is faking it for the cameras, he is a world class actor. I can't help but feel joy watching the man cook.

Entire family feasted on porchetta sandwiches from Florence’s central market this morning. First time for our kids and they were awestruck. Just built a brick oven and as soon as we’re back from vacation I’m making this lovely pork. Surprised ground pork goes it it but I’m sure it’s good.

I go to the same place in Firenze for a Porchetta sandwich and a glass of Chianti on my way to Piaza Michael Angelo David. On the other side of the Ponte Vecchio , turn left up the hill to the top. Then black down for Pear , Gorgonzola or if lighter Dolce Latte ravioli with cream and asparagus at Quattro Leone, Firenze . Maybe some tempura veg as a starter , cauliflower never tasted so good.
