This is so authentic and stays true to Teochew style jong. I'm using this recipe to make a batch for CNY this year. I just put the several ingredients in water to soak overnight and can't wait to make them tomorrow. It feels great making a recipe from somebody who is "gaginang". Loved watching it in Teochew with my mom. Joy-siah, ah goh.

I'd prefer to steam it instead of boiling it at the end, but it works the same. It's just that if you steam it, you don't risk getting too much water in the banana leaves. Great video. My family recipe is a little simpler and I rarely use five spice powder, but it's something to try out. Thanks!

Totally different way of making Zong Zi from what I am used to in terms of filling and the preparation of the sticky rice, but the result looks great! Again: great video, great editing, great quality shoot! Very enjoyable video! Thank you very much auntie Susan!
