45:45 I think that was meant to be a lacquered sheath, which is common for traditional Japanese swords. Taking that into consideration, would you still have the same advice for their material?

Ya, I think would still hold the same critique. The biggest thing is there’s no breakup to the lacquer. It feels perfect, and reality has imperfections to it, even if they’re subtitle. Maybe there was some in there but from the distance you view the image you don’t see that breakup, so that contributes to perfect unbroken up highlights.

Not necessarily. I think it can be what ever helps the overall final look. I like to use black but I don’t always use it.

36:50 thing is, its supossed to be a portfolio of ppl that make characters, not a lighiting artist, it cant be flawless on dat point i think
