Vario Pages are the same and cost around $1.00ea in packs of 5. A lot easier and in plastic. When one figures material costs & time for the homemade pages, Vario Pages are best

I did similar with spare OHP sheets from school, but I made one adjustment as my stamps kept "grabbing each other" when input sheets together..... if you get 2 sheets of greaseproof paper a couple cm wider than your sheet you can put one edge in between the 2 display sheets as you glue them together and they get their own little extra protective cover ✌

Please don't do this with stamps. Stamp album pages sold commercially are specially formulated and designed not to damage stamps. Plastics that are not chemically balanced, paper that is not acid free, glue that is not chemically balanced can all damage your stamps. All this trouble and time and the cost involved making these home made pages are not worth the effort. It will cost you less money to get proper pages for your stamp album. The only shortcut you can get away with is to buy a binder that is PVC and acid free which will cost about $10 as opposed to the normal stamp album binders which can range from $20-$50 and up.

Right on! I’ve seen the damage of some really nice, rare stamps being housed this way. Make certain that any paper that touches your stamps is acid free!

The idea is good but you have to take into account the following: With time the plastic will come off because the glue is not adequate and the paper to make these sheets must be free of acid, it is not advisable to grab the stamps with your hands because they get damaged.

Hm, realy good guide, for begginers with not-too-much valuable stamps. I personaly would be a little worried about what the glue evaporation would do with stamps over time. Be careful what glue you use. And one thing, never touch (especialy older and valuable staps with fingers. Always use the phillatelistic twizzers! And when I once tried this, I glued cca 1mm thick cardboard between this black papers.

Thank you for your message, Bhai. Old stamps might be found in Dillibazar. For making this type of album, all the materials can be easily found/available in normal stationery shop. Such album sheets can be made easily in leisure time.

Many thanks. I would just like to point out that you would be better off without using adhesive tape. The glue tends (over the course of many years) to leave chemical residues on the paper which might damage your stamp collection.

We've used normal craft paper for this album, which is cost-effective than pastel sheet. Actually, no idea about the effect of pastel sheet in stamps.

Plastic sheets are not suited for stamps for long periods so a philatelic plastic must be used or the stamps have to be stored elsewhere in the long run, if they shouldn't be damaged chemically. Unfortunately, all the old collection storage equipment that used plastic is trash today because they used chemically unsuited plastic (Bleisulfidskandal in German). For some months or years it should be fine with normal plastic by the way, but not for ever (especially for valuable stamps).
