Beautiful build. A whole lot better than the one I made a long time ago. I used a 12 volt transformer and a 7905 chip to make a supply that would output 5 to 12 volts at 1 amp. It served me well in my earlier days. This one is on a whole new level.

Great litle project. I got fw of thoses but not made with a step down converter. Few tips: Fan should be inside the box with a metal protection outside to avoid injuries. Also shoul be a hole on top to get an airflow. Fuse should also be at the beginning, for the fan to be protected. Digital display would be more accurate when you need them, but for sure analog gives a nice look!

Un lavoro "di fino", come tutti i tuoi lavori. Il design mi piace molto. Unica cosa che non mi piace è alimentare l'alimentatore con un altro alimentatore. Sarebbe veramente sublime un progetto "da zero" dell'alimentatore, dove viene progettata e realizzata anche tutta la parte elettronica, che va dal trasformatore al finale.

ho fatto lo stesso lavoro qualche tempo fa riciclando contenitore e trasformatore di un alimentatore 12V che si usavano per i baracchini cb. noterai con piacere che a causa del sistema switching,più è bassa la tensione di uscita,più è alta la corrente che puoi prelevare... se per esempio la sorgente di ingresso è 12V 5A, puoi prelevare in uscita una tensione di 5V con una corrente disponibile di 8A !!

Carino l'alimentatore, molto elaborato. Per la Rev.1 ... devi forare il guscio nella parte laterale o inferiore per creare un percorso per far circolare l'aria altrimenti la ventola messa così non funziona correttamente.

Hello Daniele, I love the project, looks absolutely wonderful! I wish that I had your skill set, as I would love something like this on my workbench. Fantastic job with the front panel with the analog meters. The only thing I would have done different would be to add holes or slots like on the bottom for the fan to do it's job keeping everything cool.

Bellissimo lavoro! Se mi permetti non mi convincono un paio di cose: il pulsante d'accensione ed il portafusibile sopra (li avrei messi dietro non visibili) e la ventola di raffreddamento esterna (avrei cercato il modo di metterla interna e magari orizzontale, con la fuoriuscita dell'aria calda sul pannellino superiore), ma son solo mie fisime! Poi a voler essere proprio pignoli il pannellino superiore, potevi metterlo nero... Sì, parlo per invidia (in senso buono però)

Sì ma... a parte la diversa collocazione di pulsante e fusibile che mi trova d'accordo con te, non credi che il vistoso difetto di quella ventola sia connesso, più che altro, al fatto che non è stata prevista una griglia d'uscita dell'aria soffiata all'interno di quel bussolotto ermetico? Un po' come utilizzare sacchetti di plastica al posto dei sacchetti-filtro degli aspirapolvere, non trovi?
