Wonderful idea 👍 I really like those trays too. I have several things I like to freeze in "ice cube" trays. Great video, thank you ❤

Thanks for the inspiration! I love pesto, and I've been growing just 1 or 2 basil plants a year for fresh summer pesto because I didn't know how best to preserve it. This is encouraging information! I will be going to a local farmers market to buy some fresh basil to try this out until i can plant more basil next year! Also, great tip to use pumpkin seeds. That's what i use because pine nuts are a bit expensive. Thank you! 🌱

Excellent tutorial and thanks for the tip about using sunflower seeds instead of pine nuts. I would love to order those silicone trays for freezing too….first time I have seen those.

My pleasure! We've used pumpkin seeds with success, too. :) My exact trays are no longer available. This is the closest comparable I could find: Pop-Out Ice Cube Trays: amzn.to/3O3hREi Hope that helps!

Excellent idea! Will look a link to those trays.. Suggestion, you might provide a link for your viewers and also contact manufacturer(s) for a deal when you endorse a product worthy to shear with your viewers. If you haven’t already

Links to products used are almost always in the description box. I'm not sure what happened to this one, but the link is there now. :) Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

I'm sorry I liked your video but pre packaged garlic is a cardinal sin. 👍

LOL! I hear you. We now grow enough of our own garlic for year-round use. ❤️ This year, I minced & dried it all so I could still enjoy that "grab & go" form - kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6qYlIh3i7Zgn5o

😂 I love precrushed garlic, it's very convenient. Especially as a backup if you run out of fresh cloves, and when recipes call for specific measures of garlic.

Can pesto be made without cheese and nuts?
@foodprepguide3 ай бұрын
Sure! We’ve switched to using pumpkin seeds instead of nuts. And you can just leave out the cheese. 🙂

how much basil is that in oz or grams?
@foodprepguide Жыл бұрын
I've never weighed the basil leaves, so I'm not sure.
@ggusta13 ай бұрын
I would estimate 2 to 3 oz per cup.

The basil that remain does not look vibrant green

I'd say that's mostly due to being out of the direct range of my camera light.
