I was baptised at 7 but my home life was difficult and I strayed as a teen. I have struggled with doubts ever since. I have been praying and prayed over time and time again with every reason to be closer in my faith yet I feel farther and farther and farther away. My life and usefulness wasting away the older I get (51). Went back to church 25 years ago stopped during the pandemic due to immunosuppression from transplant drugs. My life has been full of blessings yet my soul is in a constant battle. I know my personality and history and mental health make me inclined to distrust and fear of intimacy. It will take a miracle for me to overcome. My hope is withering as there are so many reasons for me to blfeel sold out yet I am plagued by an evil voice of "but what abouts?"

Karen here with a suggestion: on your zucchini noodles, would it work using your noodles raw? Raw vegetables carry so much more of their benefits. I remember zucchini in a salad is good, so I would think sliced as a noodle would be delicious.

We also live in SW Missouri, and 2 years ago, my little dog got Ehrlichiosis from a tick bite. She had to stay overnight at the vet with IV fluids and was on antibiotics for two weeks. I almost lost her. It really weakened her immune system. It just really alerted me to the fact that ticks can be very dangerous and so we also are vigilant about checking every night for them.

for future catastrophes, using a rubber band or plumbers tape, you can mend a freshly split stem like that by timing the top and bringing the two parts back together binding the split with the tape or band. The cambian layer will grow back together if you catch it before it starts to scab over. Costco has real Parmigiano Reggiano cheese for a great price! I found the Konjac noodles at Costco so I am going to try them with the Raos spaghetti sauce I buy, they had a tasting of them when I was there and they were good as a substitute for pasta.

SEPT 2024. Thanks for this recipe Sara, I made two batches today for the freezer. I did add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to each batch to see if it would keep it from going brown right away. There are many recipes on the internet but I trust you so it is the one I have copied and saved for future basil harvests. I live in Alberta Canada so my growing season is short and I do not have a green house but managed to use basil all summer in my salads and then let it alone to get a nice big harvest for pesto. I used the Genovese Basil this year and it was the best basil I have ever grown where I live. 🌷

For those who don't like the idea of not washing the basil, I do wash my basil, rather I soak it, but I use my salad spinner to dry it. I spin, rinse, spin rinse, then spin twice. It takes minimal time compared to picking the leaves off. It has not made my pesto watery. My family loves it!
