Love this. At 35:31 I thought “bring the bass in, NOW!”… and that’s exactly what you did. You make the whole process so logical. There’s a lot of artistry going on here, little things making a huge difference, that really only comes from experience. It’s difficult to teach that, but you’re giving us accurate coordinates. I think this is one of your best vids. Very talented guy. Great ear. Respect.

This is brilliant! Thank you so much! I've always wanted to create a bridge of breaks and trance (I DJ and produce trance and my husband DJ and produces DnB) so for us to combine our musical tastes.. this is it! We've been listening to Bicep for a few years now and it's a dream to make something along those lines, this tutorial has made our creative juices flow! I am a novice with Ableton so thanks again!

Hey Will, I loved your latest video - it was awesome! Could you do a tutorial on Progressive House next, in the style of Anjunadeep and Colorize artists? I'm working on an album with some Melodic House and Deep House tracks, but I need to add some Progressive House tracks. Your old tutorials, like the one on Tinlicker, were beneficial. Your explanations are always easy to follow, so more of those would be amazing! Also, I know you use Serum a lot to create sounds from scratch, and I love that as I use it too, but it would be really cool if you could also try using Diva in a future video. I recently got Diva a couple of months ago, but I'm still figuring out how to use it. Keep up the great work!

Currently at about half way. Been pausing a lot to catch up, I am not proficient moving around in this stuff, and also like to play with the knobs some when doing something new, both to learn and to make the project my own. I also did different samples, scale, chords.. I kept the same basic bassline rhythm... but hell yeah! This is great and I am learning a ton for a relative newb.
@EDMTips4 ай бұрын
Awesome! Glad into help :)

@@EDMTips thanks again, I learned a ton. I even tried using abletons new Auto Shift for tuning vocal samples, but I preferred just pitching the sample, as I couldnt get auto shift to not create artifacts with the samples I used. I just need to confront my weak points of arranging and transitions to turn this into something.

I think tutorials should be concise and most viewers wouldn't want to watch all the trial and error involved. How much time do you think you spent searching for the vocal samples? I can spend hours searching for the right sample and never find what I'm looking for. Samples can contribute a lot to the vibe of a song but it's probably my least favorite part of the process
@EDMTips4 ай бұрын
I actually didn't spend that long looking for a vocal - maybe 10 min. Thanks for the feedback though, really appreciate it!
