Great video, as usual. Thanks for the focus on energy management. Question … do you have an order that you create your foundation elements? Like, start with kick, then bass, then drums, etc… like you go through here. Or, do you create your drum groove first and then add a bass, and so on? Thanks!
@Dowden_Official7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I usually start with Kick and bass or kick and drums to get a groove going, then usually one or two pads/drones to get a vibe for the pitch and then go from there :)

Great video! I would love to see how to make this powerful Aeterna Records (Meduza) style ”electro house saw/bass lead” like for example in Genesi - Done and Equinox - Everyman 🙏

Bravo maestro - dope songs! Congratulations for the release! A LOT of really, really valuable information - thanks for that! It appears simple when you are explaining it, but it's not. :D It would be good to see how did you arrange the song, like, when does certain element start, but my main question is about the bassline. Did you keep the sub bass and the other bass layers play their own respective core pattern of note variation throughout the entire song, or you had variations of those patterns over time (if yes, when, at which minute?). You know, the top top bass layer starts in the intro part, but does it change over time sometimes or you keep it playing the same pattern of notes all the time till the end of the song, the same for the sub bass and other bass layers?
@DowdenProductionAcademy9 ай бұрын
The sub bass was slightly different, yep! Main groove and top layers were a bit different to fill empty spaces to feel more rolling. :)

This top bass is a rolling bass? I didn't get the intervals of the notes!

awesome track, but why no show the MIDI for anything? 😂
@DowdenProductionAcademy7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I did show the MIDI 🤔
@andrewpodolio597 ай бұрын
@@DowdenProductionAcademy in the Rost section: not for the bass (except for one of the channels) and not for the percs, you didn't make the project files available to download because its an official release?
@DowdenProductionAcademy7 ай бұрын
@@andrewpodolio59 Oh, I guess I should for everything. My logic was that it's a bit obvious to hear the placement but MIDI definitely makes things easier, so I'll remember to show it next time :) And yes, exactly. I wouldn't want someone re-releasing my track as their own remix or edit or something.. it would be a breach of contract with the label.

Sorry, but, where is High Energy?) It’s indie dance / afro / usual prog. Yes, it’s cool sound, I like it. I think, “High Energy” is Styline / Dont Blink, Boris Brejcha, etc. it’s really powerful.
@DowdenProductionAcademy8 ай бұрын
Hey Denis, this is a style of Progressive House, sometimes labeled as Deep Progressive. I'd definitely disagree that it is anything resembling indie or afro, to be honest. Boris Brejcha is considered 'Minimal' more than Progressive House. I'd call him Minimal Progressive Tech if I was being specific. Anyways, glad you like it! Thanks for the compliment. But in my style of Deep Progressive, this is considered higher energy Deep Progressive.
