So it was actually brought up that I'm making a Slaves to Darkness army - which is nearly true! I can almost make this entire army with Slaves to Darkness - But I can't seem to add Bloodletters in for Slaves to Darkness unless I count them as allies - Which is fine I guess. So you could technically work this 2 ways :) OR I'm super wrong since I don't play Chaos armies, in which case, educate me my dear masses! :)

You're correct you couldn't make a Slaves to Darkness army with Bloodletters, but you CAN use a Khorne Army and just use both, as long as all of them have the Khorne keyword. Huzzah

@@MrCowboy6588 Sadly after changes into AoS 3.0 you can't if you want to play competitively. Right now of total units you only can take 2/4 StD and 1/4 BoC if you're making a Khorne army. Also those StD/BoC units (coalition units) cannot be your general. But you can have all of the StD army have a mark of Khorne so technically it's a Khorne army? :) EDIT: Playing with friends nobody would care, most ppl meet to move small dudes on the table and have fun. I don't like being the "um, akshually" person, but it was quite an uproar with my local community so I did remember most of it :)

also the hellknights fit surprisingly well on some other models if you want to upgrade their mount (I checked it on MMM's dragon/drake out of curiosity, but pretty sure there are a number of dragons it'll fit on)

I showed it in my previous video in full detail :) But I print at 3.7s per line with 25s at on the base layers. Very slow like 40mm lift speeds :)

This is actually really good timing. With the controversy from Games Workshop proxy minis are kind of the perfect way for me to rebuild my tyranid army without supporting them (already had the book, and I don't do tournaments/professional play, so no concern about using official minis)

Have you seen a tangable advantage to water curing? Is the water curing what makes so many figures in this video a bit shiny after curing?

Yes 100%! Water cured prints feel SO much more stable and solid. I cannot recommend it enough. It does make it slightly shiny, but that's also mostly because I use old alcohol that leaves a thin layer of resin on minis if you don't brush it off. I don't care that it's shiny so I leave it :)

To think a few years ago you couldn't even 3D print a decent curved piece without the material falling off to the side. That made me sound really old, but honestly, 3D printing evolved a lot if you can print models with so much detail now

I have plans to 3d print an asian style Cities of Sigmar army. Spearmen and samurai for the humans, yokai for the elves, the night elves and Mori elves from lost kingdom as well, got some rrally cool Komainu riders to replace demigryph knights, gonna be really cool

Side note if printing a army is kinda daunting for you you can try a skirmish game like war cry or kill team, you are only printing at most 15 models and you can still spend a good amount of time looking for the unique figure for the specific role each model will play. Also your "pile of shame" is growing by the day, but honestly with them being so cheap and easy to make I wouldn't bother painting most unless I really want to for fun.

Oh absolutely! I plan on showing how skirmish/war cry games work in some future vids using real models. I am just trying to show what you can max out in a weekend doing :) But with real models, I want to show making and painting them for a skirmish sometime with maybe a get started box :) Awesome suggestion!

Just throwing this out there for anyone new to GW games. Use whatever you want. Printed, converted, 3rd party, whatever. GW doesn't have official anything outside of their stores. Every major event with 100+ players allows 3rd party and 3D printed models.

I am entirely ok with proxy units myself, as is the group I play 40k with. Especally if it's just ment to be one unit, or if we're just trying out new units and don't want to drop a grocery run's worth of money on new models that may not work out. For example, I myself proxy a Grey Knights Dreadknight with a Heavyarms Gundam with some slight modifications to actually make it more WYSIWYG with a sword, it's gatling gun representing a Gatling Psilencer, and a Heavy Incinerator made from some Heavy Flamer bits.

A ton of events won't even LET you use proxies. I would LOVE to live in a world where everyone can bring whatever models they want and simply play based upon a set of rules. But I don't think there is a system in place for that just yet

In 40k, there is the Adeptus Mechanicus which are a faction a religious cyborgs and their is also an alien faction called the Necrons that are basically Egyptian Space Terminators and I think it be cool to mash the Necron pieces onto Admech models.

I haven't played 40k or any war hammer table top games, I would have loved to, but damn their expensive. With that said the 2 faction I would proxy is Skaventide and Seraphon Rats and Lizard hehe yea~ the rat army would be two different load outs depending on my mood, first would be scruffy looking plague infected rats and the second would be cute looking fuz balls, just thinking how humiliating it would be to lose to cute little mice XD

The idea that you must use GW models to play GW rules is a recent idea that GW has pushed on the community to sell more figures. I have been playing WH and WH40K since the late 80’s. People didn’t even call models proxies and no one cared that your painted models in a tournament were GW models or not. There have always been smaller companies making compatible models for popular game rules. Up until the GW lawyer force has started coming down on people it made no difference to anyone. The whole IP argument vs. lookalike model is utter BS.
