Hi Hilah, I wanted you to know that I made these last night and they were very,very delicious! I didn't have sherry so I left it out and used red onion instead of shallots and they came out perfect. I am using this recipe for my daughters baby shower so thank you.

Nice video! A simple thing we do in my family is just wrap the pastry around portabello mushroom slices that have been sauteed with butter and thyme...really easy!

I have a box of puff pastry in my freezer that I wasn't sure what I was going to do with. Now I know - these look amazing. The addition of sherry is a beautiful touch. I'm looking forward to getting to know your videos.

Great clip! I thought you didn't like mushrooms. I"M the same way but am starting to like certain types, such as shiitake. Thanks again. What kind did you use?
@davidhollenbeck92275 жыл бұрын
I mix the cream cheese in with the mushrooms and then use a melon baller to scoop it into the pastry. I've also used wonton wraps and fried them before

Those look awesome! But, I always brush some egg wash on top of the puff pastry. Gives it a nice sheen and crisp! I may make this recipe to take to daughter’s in-laws’ for Easter brunch!!!

@inf0isFree That's cool! I'm flattered you knew I used to hate them! I just used white button mushrooms in the video but I have done it with creminis, too. I'm still working my way up to the stronger-flavored ones like shiitake.

Great recipe! Have you tried a mini samosa? Great for vegans, etc. Just cooked minced potatoes, curry ( I use Jamaican curry from Blue Mountain, it’s a bit milder) cumin , onions, cumin seeds, sea salt, fresh pepper and frozen peas. Right into that “nectar of the gods”, puff pastry. Same technique .

They look absolutely heavenly, elegant, and decadent, and it just doesn't get much better than that. This is a must do for holiday munchies! Missing one vital ingredient, though: just a few crumbles of bacon over the cream cheese. Yeah, I know, I'm hopeless. :-P

Hi Hilah!! I didn't read all the comments here (cause I'm lazy), but the word "duxelle" or "duxelles" is pronounced pretty much how you said it. dook-SEHL or like ... Duke Sell. The 's' at the end isn't pronounced if you spell it that way, silly French people don't often pronounce the final consonant. So, yeah. Hope that helps! Loved this recipe by the way!!

Hi, And many thanks for the upload. I live and am alone in the world and like to pitch the odd what looks like a manageable dish for me to cook to make a change and to actually be excited about seeing how it turns out! Looks great to eat by itself or with simple veg, I get new potato’s year round or a brand that is shipped in when it is too chilly in London UK which is where I like so they are new sometimes but others ’new like’ or type. New potato peas and carrots will go love lovely with these. Take care and thanks for your skill. I will sub you and be checking out your other videos. Take care. mrbluenun
