Is there any object wrapping we could use, so that our image/logo inside does not cover anything of the QR code? 🤔
@TechnicallyTrent2 ай бұрын
Hi Joan! I'm not quite sure what you mean by object wrapping. All parts of the QR code contain information, but the information is repeated so that the QR code can still work if it is damaged. This fact can be leveraged to put our logo there, but if the logo is too big, it damages the QR code too much and it will not work. You can out any extra design/text elements outside of the QR code bounds and it will still work. Let me know if this answers your question - Trent

@@TechnicallyTrent I just didn't want to damage QR code at all, so I thought about some kind of flow/wrapping around the logo, just the way the text flow around a picture. But if the information is repeated, it may work without. And the online qr code generators that permit to insert your logo - they also damage QR codes by covering some part of information?🤔

@@joanl.2471 Hi Joan, yes, the online tools that add a logo in the middle will also be damaging the QR code. But typically they make the logo small enough so it still works. I'll go over your questions in more detail on my stream tomorrow (Oct 27).

@@TechnicallyTrentHi, Trent. Thanks, I recently tried with green QR code from Designer (without logo) in printed leaflet and it also works. I decided to add a hyperlink to another QR code as well, so that it can be either scanned or clicked in pdf (perhaps it's a common practice, but since I came up to that by myself, I'm pretty proud of this idea😅). CU tomorrow then -as we're changing time this night it may be easier to join you online not during dinner 😅

Is it possible to do a round QR code?
@TechnicallyTrent20 күн бұрын
Hi @nickodemis...you can put the QR code in a round shape. However, the code itself will need to stay rectangular.

Is it possible to add text around the QR code here instead of an image?
@TechnicallyTrent2 ай бұрын
Hi Anil, yes, you could put a word in the center of the QR code. Just make sure to test that it still works. QR code readers have no idea what your word says...they just see that part of the QR code is damaged and they try to recover from it. If the image or text is too big, the QR code cannot be read.

@@TechnicallyTrent Thank you for your quick reply! Thank you again for your 'careful' instruction how to avoid mistakes.

why don't you scan the QR code on your phone when the design is still on the screen rather than exporting it each time?
@TechnicallyTrent2 ай бұрын
Yup, that's another way to test it. Whatever is easiest for you works!
