Well now, when I did Atkins many years ago every recipe I tried was a total fail, so I was reluctant to try yours. This is my first keto recipe to try since starting keto IF 3 weeks ago, it's delicious, perfect pastry, I've made it twice! So excited now to try more! Thank you so much! Dr Berg you are brilliant! OMGosh this recipe is AMAZING! Maybe I missed it in the comments but I didn't see anyone ELSE saying that they had tried this recipe. The egg mixture is fluffy and scrumptious. I made my crust the day before. I then did what they said in the video, I cleaned out the fridge (tasting bits together to make sure that they would taste good mixed and baked together. I had left over hamburger crumble that had onions garlic salt and pepper. I had a mushrooms sauted with leeks in butter. I had Delicata squash with garlic and butter. On the bottom of the pie I used Cheddar, Mozzarella, and fresh parmesan. I dumped in the above mixture of meat and vegetables on top of the cheese bottom, then slowly poured in the egg mixture to which I had also added fresh chopped scallions. I had packed my pie crust so full that I had to pour the egg in slowly so that it could seep into the pie guts before spilling out. I topped my quiche with thin slices of Cheddar cheese so that all the bits of meat were covered. (I hate the taste of reheated meat if it is left open to the oven air). In my egg mixture, I used raw milk, and cream, I added less salt because all of my ingredients were already salted. Some of the egg mixture bubbled out while cooking, thank goodness I had a cookie pan under the pie pan. I gobbled that up with a spoon as soon as I saw that it had spilled out so that it didn't get burned. Those bites were a bit of fluffy heaven.

If you want a fluffier quiche - add 1 level tspn of baking soda and 1 tblspn of vinegar or dill pickle juice to the wet ingredients. BOOM. Your quiche will RISE and be so fluffy.

Something I recommend in the morning is 2 sunnyside up eggs, over sauteed kale and black beans with taco seasoning. It is soo good, and a great way to get more kale in your diet. I like to also add a vegetarian sausage or shrimp if I want extra protein

This was delicious, the crust had a nice nutty flavor, but wow this recipe is generous! I had to add another 20 minutes to get this beast fully baked. Instead of my 9" pie pan, next time I'll make two 8" pies. Love watching you two, keep those recipes coming!

Crust is not necessary. Remove the milk, double the heavy cream and you got an ultra low carb quiche. Other than that, all your quiches look delicious.

i have been making quiche since the 80’s i never use a pie crust, i just spray the baking dish with non stick spray. i had the best quiche of my life in the 80’s it had smoked trout, onions, artichoke hearts thats all i remember. It was a restaurant called Tahoe House on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, it was Scandinavian food and deserts. Too bad it has closed.

My favorite Italian Italian fretadda , green squash . 15 small ones. Thinly slice. Cook until carmelized. Scramble 1 dozen eggs. Cook med heat. Until it sets up. Then broiler until the top. I fully cooked. Best use cast iron pans. No crust. . I add bacon , Brussels sprout, shark parmesan cheese. WOW.

Or use just the fillings to make variety of crustless quiches. Saves all the messing around making the crust. Use a smaller shallow dish to cook it in (as there's no pastry filling part of it), cook at the same temperature but (usually) not for long - until the eggs are set or the top is golden.

Love your show & your you tube videos! You guys make a great team. I love quiche, especially when feeding a group & prepare it ahead of time. Ive always made ‘crustless’ quiche which is much easier, less fuss and bulky calories. Most of all super easy. Now that i am keto i use heavy cream watered down as a base. FYI~hopefully a easy, helpful tip. I make it in a 13” X 8” CASEROL dish for several servings.

For the best quiche try adding one or two tsp of mild curry powder to extra mature cheddar cheese. Sounds awful, but it really accentuates the cheese taste.

Please answer the question regarding if the crust is pre-baked before adding the ingredients to the crust. Neither this video, nor the website recipe for the quiche informs if the crust is baked ahead of time or not. Thank you.

I made a cauliflower crust for my quiche. I used a(8x8) pan. Then made the recipe veggie quiche with cheese! Its delicious! :) I love to experiment an add different veggies or what I have in the fridge...topped off with cheese, and when serving served Avocado on top and a nice green salad...Gotta get those greens! :) Delicious and my friends loved it too! :)

You do not need a crust... I oil my pie plates then fill them with my ingredients, then bake... I let them cool completely before cutting them (6 pieces), put the pieces into freezer bags and into the freezer for future use... I'm guessing that some people like the taste of the crust. I'm not one of them... However, If I use a crust, I'll make it the non-keto friendly way, with organic flour :-)

If you don't like the taste of traditional crust why are you clinging to your traditional crust? I do love a traditional buttery homemade crust I even made my own flour from organic ancient grains (my crusts were amazing). But now that I am Keto I am clinging to the things of Keto that are really good. And NUT crusts are even more amazing. I make mine with a mix of nuts ground up. Pecans, almonds, cashews, and more all ground up in my Vitamix then the rest of the ingredients are just like old fashioned traditional crust.

Not everyone is on a Ketogenic diet. I'll make a crust for those people, although I don't eat it. Like I said, I don't need a crust for my Quiche... The pie pan gives it it's shape and it's just as yummy :-)

My husband make a Quiche with the Berg Recipe for pizza crust using cauliflower but put it in a baking dish to bake first. It made an excellent crust. Did not overpower the flavor of the Quiche.

I watched this three times trying to figure out what I had missed. Well I missed how much and what kind of flour you put into this crust. It’s their pie crust recipe and it’s in the description box above. However, I am going to give it to you now in case you can’t find it! 😋 1&1/2 Cups Almond Flour, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt, 1&1/2 Tbsp grass fed butter and 1 organic egg. Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor until it balls up. Remove from the processor and put into a pan and form the crust. Bake until golden brown approximately 8-10 minutes on 350.

Winter, so my hens are down to one egg a day and it goes in my morning smoothie. This is pizza time of year for me. Greenhouse is still pumping out lots of New Zealand spinach, green onions and occasional tomato and pepper. Have to buy the cheese and sausage crumbles.

Mmmmm, thank you so much, Karen and Dr Eric Berg, I heart this :-) And the cool thing about it is you can put in desired variations. Quiche is wonderful! I would definitely pur Mushrooms, peppers, finely diced carrots and celery, chia seeds, and with the meats I would use any compassionately, pasture raised, grass fed animal source - from ground beef to tri-tip, to chicken breast to pork sausage as well as bacon.
