My mother used to make pig's feet with tomato sauce. I make it the same way. I don't mind if other people won't eat pig's feet. That just leaves more for us.

Pig feet cooked in half bottle hot sauce, celery, onions, green pepper, pepper, bay leaf, little water, squirts of catsup. Rotate feet when half done. Goes well with crowder peas/okra. Rice. Potato salad or slaw. Cornbread. Tea. Some add vinegar to the water. Can put on grill for searing after pot/crockpot cooking. FOR THE ONE THAT ASKED.

B Brignolle You do know that everyone has their own style right? Especially depending on what part of Haiti you are from! We all learn from a base recipe, & make it our own - no 2 Haitian ppl cook the same!

People do not eat pig feet because it is cheap. It's really very expensive meat as so most is bone that you can't eat, but the taste is above most all other meat and it's not really meat as most of it is griddle, but man it is so good and I'm willing to pay the high cost just as I pay for lobster periodically. People that have never tried eating it are the main one's that think they are so correct with their views, but they are totally wrong. Pig feet is one of the most tasting good things that are available today. Those people don't eat mountain oysters either which are almost the best tasting meat in the world and are worth any amount that they charge.
