Rapeseed is a hard wax . Similar to beeswax. So it being blended with coconut makes sense to use as a container blend. But it will still have those properties to watch for. Such as cracking, detachment, jump lines. That's why pouring cooler makes sense to minimize the wax contraction and the temperature difference between the wax and the jar. But your cold room didn't help 😂. You'll have to regulate your ambient temperature working with waxes like this. It can be temperamental but it's a great wax. Excellent video. Looking forward to your burn video and results.

I love this , thank you so much for watching my video and supporting my channel 🤍 Ahhh that makes sense why I had cracking on the wax , my living room was freezing 😂 I can’t wait for you to see my burn my video and hear your opinion x

The cracks happen because in drops in temperature, same with the candle coming away from the glass. I have been using R&C wax for a while now and for me I have really good results, I let mine cool right down to 38 and that gives me great results

That is so helpful thank you , it is my new favourite wax! I got whole 12kg batch of it! It is so exciting - I am glad that you are enjoying your rcx results

I've been using RCX for a while now, It's okay, I think it's marketed well but often the results are hit and miss especially when using the free recipes that are available for the wax, the "recipes" focus more on on the performance of the candle from the perspective of safe, efficient burning rather than scent throw. CS themselves have in the past advised people to mix RCX with Paraffin to create a luxury blend, and having experimented with adding paraffin to RCX, the results improve quite dramatically with as little at 20-30% paraffin (60% paraffin was VERY strong) which is to be expected, but having done that extensive testing I sort of thought to myself, if adding Paraffin improves the HT so dramatically why am I using RCX? Alas I'm still using it, but I think long term I may switch to other blends as personally I do want a non paraffin based candle purely from a renewable perspective (although paraffin misinformation is rife in the candle industry and it gets way more flack than it should). Regarding cracking, with pure RCX it's almost unavoidable, even if you don't have cracks on the top, there will be loads of microcracks on the inside, but they don't affect performance. I cure candles in a 22c area which is constantly regulated and it did improve the tops of RCX, the issue is when you post the candles in winter they will crack regardless, the candles are going into cold postage vans and taken to cold distrubution centres and then being delivered in cold vans. I actually tested this by shipping a candle up north to a friend who confirmed it had cracked by the time it arrived a few days later even though it was perfect when I packaged it, it's unavoidable, I often advise people to embrace it and use it as marketing lol. Overall I think RCX is a good wax, it's not special or the be all and end all wax, it works, but can be a finnicky to master and inconsistent in testing.

Hello , lovely to see you comment under my video! I loved your detail opinion and experience on RCX wax! I bought more of it recently so I can test it with my essential oils as it worked so well for me! I will definitely be saving your comment as guidance! Thank you for your support and watching my video 😊

@@mawahebhome I have not used essential oils, but RCX works really well with CL wicks from Candle-Shack, In 20cl try a CL10, in 30cl try CL12/14 and you will get an even and stable burn, then it's just about tweaking for hot throw!

@@mawahebhome And if you decide to buy CL wicks from candle-shack, CL12, CS blueberry & Vanilla at 8% (content method, CS has a content calculator on their site) was VERY strong with a 1 week cure time. Also had great results from 10% with a CL14 :)

What wax do you recommend? 🥰

@@AdriannaDufour Very good question , I recommend RCX wax and S41! I tested Kerasoy for the longest time and it is such a good wax but the wicking process is soo long! I tried every wick possible and I am still struggling! Definitely moving on to RCX and S41 worked for me better with wicking 🥰 x

Q: does your wax cracked. because I have been working and testing and pouring on different temp and it still cracked.
@mawahebhome

Yes indeed it does crack regardless, even after I burn it! I use this wax with amber jars so I don’t care too much from a glass adhesion respect but I do want to make sure the top is flawless before burn time! It is one of the imperfections of this wax.

Interested to seeing the results here. Making rcx myself in 20cl amber jar. Using stabilo 10 wick so curious to see how your wicks turn out. What jar sizes are you using?

Thank you for watching my video and supporting my channel! I love that you are also testing the same wax, how exciting!! I used 30cl jars and the amber jar is close to 20cl but it’s advertised as 180ml on the candle website! I am looking forward for you to see my burn test video and tell me your thoughts! Good luck with testing 😃

I personally love this wax , especially with my essential oil candles. It is very hard for me to recommend you one wax because every candle maker has different results. I would advise to get a sample order of a wax that stands out to you and test to see if you like it.

Hi Mawaheb! :) Sorry this is a bit unrelated to the video. I just wanted to ask you about Ecococo. I really want to use it but there is no information about which wicks to use. I have watched your video using Ecococo in the past but wanted to know if you managed to find a wick that worked for it? I am using a 30CL candle shack container. I tried Eco 8 but the flame was huge and flickering - and the wick was bending one way after the 3rd hour causing an uneven burn and hang up on the side (never reached a full melt pool). It did have a good hot throw though! Any advice?? I am about to try Stabilo 12 and CL 14 as this was advised for Kerax 4135 but I am not sure they will work due to that wax having soy in. Would really appreciate your candle wisdom lol :) Would love you do to another testing video using Ecococo too as I can never get good glass adhesion with it as well haha :) Thanks in advance

Hi Jasmine! Please make no apologies 🤍 Coco Wax is another wax that I would love to refilm and test, I have not tested it for a while if I am being honest with you. Eco wicks have become my least favourite wick with any wax , I have had the same results huge flame, flickering and burns too hot. Good choice with trying Stabilo , also try TB wicks they have been really coming through for me recently with my waxes. I am so glad you are getting a good hot throw with it, I don’t remember getting a good hot throw with eco coco from memory but thats another video idea thank you 🤍 My advice is keep testing with different wicks and I am sure you are bound to find the right one - try TB wicks I really enjoy them! Please let me know how your results turn out , I am curious to know 🤍
