This video on how to make resin shiny from a dull mold shows you a simple technique that will save you loads of time having to sand and polish a dull piece. It will also work if there are scratches on your resin to cover them up. It is easy to turn a matte (dull) casting into a glass like shiny finish following this method.

What UV resin do you use? I've tried Steve's method in video, but the resin didn't adhere correctly (the final look appeared as if I mixed oil & water on top). It could've been the resin I was using at the time, but I've thought of trying a UV resin for these times.
@AGDinCA
@AGDinCA 3 жыл бұрын
@@theresamcmanus3934 Truthfully, I buy my UV resin off Amazon and I think they are all the same. They all seem to work the same to me, anyway. One thing I will tell you is that any suggested cure times given by these UV resin companies needs to be multiplied by 10. If they say the cure time is 30 seconds, I say _yeah right!_ Three minutes will probably be more appropriate.
