My frenemy Helen Bankes from the Old Mill was saying that a good way of using up rhubarb leaves is to cut them at dusk on St Agnes eve with a golden blade. Then hang them up from a ceiling in a room where a child has never been born nor a woman ever died. After 40 days and 40 nights you take the dried leaves and crush them with your bare hands into a clay bowl and then use them to stuff cushions. The woman is clearly unhinged.
