Honestly, i think the gold ruins the steak 😅 The sear and coloring from the basting is completely hidden and thats usually the best part of the steak.

24k gold culinary foil isn’t terribly expensive, even high end brands have 10-20ct packs for less than $25 USD. It’s very thin so it barely weighs anything, which is why it’s cheaper than expected It’s really just overpriced food foil that you can ingest. You can make a good golden steak at home for around $25 altogether. The restaurants charging hundreds for gold meat is scammy

I think a lot of people missed the point when it comes to this steak. It's about I'm so rich I eat gold. People may not like that concept and they hide it but that's what it is. It will always be worth it for them and if they could eat diamonds they would eat that too.
