I spent a little over 6 months in Japan while I was in the Marine Corps. Aside from making me extremely hungry, this awesome clip of a true professional at work made me really miss Japanese chefs and bartenders. Everything they prepared and placed in front of a customer was made to absolute perfection. If you ordered a BLT, when it was delivered to you, it was a work of art. The bacon would be cooked to perfection and placed properly on the perfectly toasted bread. The tomato would be the perfect shade of red, sliced to the perfect thickness, etc... The lettuce would be perfectly crisp and cool, etc... Otherwise, the chef would be shamed to the point that he might honestly apologize unabashedly for about five minutes before going to the manager and resigning from his job in shame. They really take it that seriously. And in the really high-end places like the one in this clip, even more so. I can't imagine someone cooking my steak for me in sections like this chef - so that each bite is the perfect temperature. Phenomenal!

Last year, my wife and me ate at a similar restaurant in Osaka. The Kobe beef was the best steak I ever ate, the total bill was arround 600 bucks, but to me the real show stealer was that garlic with wasabi on top. If you want to do it at home, just fry the garlic slices at medium temperature and turn them continously until they're crispy like potato chips fresh out the oven. Then put them on top of some mouth-sized bits of your favourite steak and put wasabi on top. That's the way our chef recommended eating our Kobe beef, but it really works great with any kind of beef. You won't regret it, I promise. :D

MixnMatch Flavour Bleach Ha, dude that’s a $50 steak, if you read the price and do a simple conversion. *EDIT:* _also that price is including having it cooked and served in front of you, more like $40-45 for this raw at home_ 150grams at 6,000 Yen = ~5.3oz (5.29109 tb-exact) at $55.80 Yeah that’s expensive, and it’s clearly a funny comment...im spending time to state this so it doesn’t scare you away from trying it...put away $5 a week, and by Father’s Day you can afford one..if you wanted to try it, OR go spend $30 at Texas Roadhouse...I just want people to actually look at the prices, and get perspective...just cut out the sides and fries and you have a meal that costs a few extra bucks compared to a cheaper meal at an “expensive steakhouse”...just saying, ANYONE CAN AFFORD THIS IF THEY WANT IT...even the most poor could save $1 a week for a year and that is just for fun, $1 a week, and treat yourself, or you could just go spend $50 instead of $30 at Longhorns as I said...so many ways to slice this 👍😎
