I have one very similar. My can opener is smaller. Got it from QVC like 5 years ago. Love it

Awesome Recipe. Thanx!!!! Caramel is one if my favorites. I have a Kitchen Aid manuel can opener. I love it. I actually gave them for gifts to some of my friends. They loved theirs.

If you love caramel, you will love this recipe! Also, it’s just fun to make. If you have friends that also enjoy caramel, it would be a great gift for Valentine’s Day. As for the can opener, I just love a manual hand held can opener. 😊 Thanks for watching and I hope you have a blessed weekend!!!

@@stephsstovebystephaniethom7249 thanx. Me and my Son rode Hurricane Katrina out, it was terrifying. We had no power for 22 days. I didn't own a Manuel can opener. The first and only one I could find was one if those old metal sorry openers. You would be surprised, but I managed to get food our of cans with a beer opener. I bought me a Kitchen Aid, it was 18 years ago last Aug, hard to believe and I still am using it. Live your channel!!!

Will this exact recipe , minus the salt, work for regular caramel too? I Would love to make both types for holiday/seasonal gifts. Thanks.Sharon in Maryland

I love this idea! It is easy to make and I’m excited to try this. Thanks for sharing! This would be a great idea for a Christmas gift basket also. Where did you find your small jars? Hope you are having a wonderful week! Yum! Looks so good!

I’m so glad you liked the video! This is an easy recipe that is fun and very rewarding-with not a lot of effort. 😉 Caramel is one of those things that perfect year round and is a very welcomed gift. You could even attach the recipe and they could also make it. As for the jars, they are from Amazon. However, I did change the lids and rings from the original as I wanted a good seal. Thank you for watching, your comment, and well wishes. I hope you have a blessed weekend!!! 😊

That looks so good! What a great way to make caramel. How long do the rings, lids and jars need to be in the water for them to be sterilized? Thanks.
@stephsstovebystephaniethom724911 ай бұрын
Once the water come to a boil about 10 minutes, then turn the burner off and let the sit in the warm water about 5 minutes before removing and using. Allow these jars to cool slightly since the mixture is room temperature. You never want to “shock” a jar by pouring contents that is an extremely different temperature into a hot jar. This is the method I generally use. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed weekend and enjoy the caramel!!! 😊

How long will it keep after you open a jar? I am guessing you should put in the refrigerator after opening too
@stephsstovebystephaniethom724911 ай бұрын
Yes, it should be placed I. The refrigerator after opening. It should last about one month in the fridge after opening- if you don’t eat it up before then. 😊 Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed evening!!!
@RobinEngel-bo8nz7 күн бұрын
I do keep it in the fridge!❤But I just buy the newer(already)caramel flavour in the can! Also,you can just put the cans in a water bath like in the old days... (I suggest looking up a safe recipe for this old way on Google...but much quicker & easier) then I just add my sea salt when I want it! Some guests prefer no salt.And different other types of recipes call for this thickened un-salted caramel! I put it in my ☕ without cooking or thickening,just straight from the can! Hope it is available to you as I am in Canada.🇨🇦 🍁Both flavors are terrific in Vietnamese drip ☕ coffee! You can order a little maker(on-line) that you put over a THICK glass! Add ice cubes for a refreshing cold version!❄ ❤😂🎉😮🙏😋 Happy HOLY-DAYS🎉

I have made this and it’s delicious. Wanted to let you know I made the chocolate nougat candy. Oh my goodness.. it’s delicious. I hope you will try it. Use semi sweet or semi sweet and milk chocolate mixed. Thank you ❤

Oh my goodness that sounds amazing!!! I will definitely try this, maybe with dark chocolate 🍫 for Valentine’s Day. The caramel is delicious and so much better than the thin caramel sauce that is available in the grocery store. I’m so glad you enjoyed this video and the nougat too. Thanks for watching and your kind words 😊 of encouragement! Have a blessed weekend!!!

@ Go back and watch Steph’s nougat gum drop candy recipe. Use dark or milk chocolate in place of the white chocolate chips and still use the marshmallows. You don’t have to even add the gum drops or dot’s can. Follow her instructions only with chocolate. Isn’t she just a doll? Love her videos.

Welcome! I’m so glad you are enjoying my channel!!! As for my makeup, I use IT Cosmetics for foundation during the winter months. In the spring-fall, I use Jose Maran tinted moisturizer with SPF. The blush I use is Laura Geller and I always change lipstick. Most of which I purchase from QVC. 😊 Hope this helps and you find some colors that will work well for you. Have a blessed weekend and welcome again to my channel!!! 🤗

Pink salt does it taste different or the same? What's the difference?
@stephsstovebystephaniethom724911 ай бұрын
It is slightly larger than table salt but does taste about the same. However, it does have health benefits such as enhance serotonin levels in your body, reducing stress, boosting energy and relieving depression. It’s also has claims of restore energy in your body. Overall, it’s a good addition. But, if you don’t have any substituting table salt will be fine in the same measurement. It’s a 1:1 substitution. Over the last several years I have tried to use a variety of salt in my cooking and experiment with their flavors, texture, and health benefits. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed weekend!!! 😊

If you put about a tablespoon of vinegar in your crockpot water, you will not have the residue on the jars..
