Are you measuring the waxes and fragrance by volume or weight? Also if I have a 10 oz vessel and I use 10 oz wax, adding then 1 oz of fragrance doesn't the vessel overflow? Thanks for all your help! Just placed another order :) Got the wrong wicks last time duh should have stopped here first :)

How did you know how much wax to cut? I want to buy your wax but I think measuring the wax with chips will be easier.
@makesyofficial
@makesyofficial Жыл бұрын
We typically recommend cutting the box in half then dividing in again in 6-8 smaller pieces. You can then weigh each piece to find out how much total wax you have in each chunk before you melt it!

I'm confused on the pour temp for this wax. My box doesn't say what temp to heat the wax but says to pour at 145 degrees. The website says to mix and pour at 150 degrees but you responded to someone on this thread to stop heating at 137 degrees and mix and pour at this temp. Can you please confirm what temp i'm to stop heating the wax and the mix and pour temp.

@@makesyofficial this doesn’t make sense? It should stop heating at 137, but the box say mix and pour at 145, one part of the website says 150 and another says add fragrance at 180. Could you please explain the proper details for using specifically bees wax and your scent products?

So do you melt the wax to 137 or higher and then let it cool down? I keep seeing different temperatures and I don’t want to burn my wax. It’s gone from 165 to 200 degrees. Please help

you're may be pouring them a little to hot. just let it cool down a bit after melting
@makesyofficial
@makesyofficial Жыл бұрын
This is called a sink hole. It happens when the wax cools too rapidly or the candle is being poured too hot. You can first reduce try reducing you mix and pour temp by 10 degrees and then you can use a heat gun to fill in any surface imperfections!

All of our waxes are smooth, creamy, luxurious and hold a heavy fragrance load with optimum burn performance. Our Virgin Coconut Soy and Coco Apricot Crème waxes are fairly soft and our Beeswax Coco Crème is more firm. The Virgin Coconut Soy wax is made from a blend of soy and coconut waxes, both come from renewable sources. The Coco Apricot Crème wax is made from a blend of apricot and coconut wax and contains no soy, unlike a majority of natural wax blends on the market. The coconut in this blend also comes from a renewable source. And the Beeswax Coco Crème is a blend of a proprietary combination of ethically sourced beeswax, and renewably coconut, soy, and palm waxes! :)

What do you mean by mix and pour temperature.
@ronihewitt1028
@ronihewitt1028 3 жыл бұрын
Wax needs to be a certain temp to mix in your fragrances, too cold and it won't mix well and you'll end up with an uneven mixture that will melt poorly. It also needs to be a certain temp to pour to prevent sugaring, glazing or bubbles.

@NopeNopeNope the palm wax is ethically sourced through RSPO and the paraffin is food grade. There is no worries of contaminating the plant or your own body. Wooden Wick Company works diligently to give us the finest waxes available. I am not paid to say that. I've just done many hours of research.
