Your channel has been super healpful to me. I started university for the first time at the age of 37, with an 11 month old and a new ADHD diagnosis😊. Your tips and strategies have been great. I'm hoping you might consider a video on how to set up or semester for success? I get all my course shells with all the assignments and readings for the semester at once. It feels so overwhelming, and I never know the best way to organize it all to set up for success. Any tips would be great. Thanks.

Wow! You have a ton on your plate! You’ve got this. 💪 That’s a great idea for a video. I cover a lot of that inside schoolhabits university, but the most important thing is to have task and time management systems that really work for YOU. You want to make your time visible so you can see what days and hours and pockets of time you have available in your schedule to work on school stuff… We often have way more or way less time than we imagine (especially with an 11-month old!!). Once you figure out what your real pockets of time are, yoi can pull tasks and assignments from your task management system and plop them in those blank spaces. Many of my students with ADHD actually prefer a paper planner versus something digital to keep track of assignments because “out of sight out of mind” 🙃 Thank you so much for your kind words and your helpful suggestion. I appreciate you! 😊

@SchoolHabits thank you. I didn't expect you to reach out with tips in the comments. I appreciate this. I'm working on developing a management system. Hopefully, it will bring more success this semester. Thank you for all the work that you do. Cheers!

Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry you had to go through this. School can be a place where you meet your best friends, but it can also be a place that shatters your confidence. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that good people who have every “reason” to look down on someone will never actually do so. No wealthy and kind person insults someone for having no money. No beautiful and kind person insults someone for being ugly. No person who is TRULY weak liked will ever insult somebody for having fewer friends. The people on top… The people with the real inner strength… You!… They’re on top for a reason. Anyone else only “thinks” they’re on top. If anyone insults you or criticizes you, it’s not because they’re better than you… It’s simply because they haven’t figured themselves out yet. Remember, we’re all here living for the first time. The best we can do is wake up every day and be kind, and keep our face toward the sunshine. You will not be with these kids forever. This is temporary. Keep your head up and your eyes locked on what lies ahead of you 💖💖
