Those leftover cherries can be reinfused for another batch. Or, pat dry and dip in dark chocolate to make cherry liqueur chocolates! 🍫🍒🍫

Hi, may I know the reason why did you fermented the cherries under the sun light? Is any reason? Is not better do it in a dark, fresh place?Tks.
@GettinThere12 жыл бұрын
Fermentation is usually done in warm temperatures, causing bacteria growth which in turn feed off the sugars. The by-product is alcohol.
@flamingpieherman98224 жыл бұрын
I was thinking on the cherries you can also put them in fruit breads...that would taste awesome

You need to let all of the sugar dissolve first before adding any alcohol!

@@gracebutton9952 Isn't methanol produced during fermentation of the cherries ?
@gracebutton99524 жыл бұрын
@@Synarmo the amount of pectin that naturally occurs in cherries is so small compared to that of other fruits (I think it's like less than 1%) that any methanol produced from fermentation would be insignificant.

i do this every summer. i botled it yesterday, and today i noticed tiny worms were drawn out of the cherries by the alcohol. can i strain it or is it ruined?
@Shagadin5 жыл бұрын
Say that it is mexican mezcal with cherries :-)
@splash59745 жыл бұрын
Just strain it. It will be fine! Alot of cherries have worms. They won't hurt you!
@SuperVegetaAF5 жыл бұрын
So long as the worms don’t get into the jar after it’s strained you should be fine. If your scared of them getting through the first strain use a double strainer or strain into a coffee filter. Any excess debree will get caught in the coffee filter.

The person talking in the background is the person making the liquor. He speaks Russian. For your convenience, another person is translating in English. Don't use expletives!
